Replying To Pikeman96:  "Tough enough draw all right, and there'll be big mileage in it too.

Fermanagh is the furthest of the away games we could have got, and a neutral venue v Leitrim could be somewhere like Tullamore or Mullingar. The other possible neutral venue teams were Carlow, Waterford, and London, so any one of those would surely have been closer to home....unless there was a "neutral" match v London played somewhere like Cardiff or Bristol!"
I don't think we have played Fermanagh in a few years and they would be I guess very confident going into the game. The long break has perhaps helped us more than other teams as it allowed the injured lads to come back. There really has not been much between us and the other two in the recent years. We have to at least win one game and if we lose they have to be very close but I think we will get out of the group. It certainly will tell us where we stand.

Hegarty told me Coleman is out for the season hope he was just stuffing me! He said Porter would be back. Look its a tough draw but I really think we can beat Antrim in the Park and Leitrim again if we can keep Keith quiet again. Fermanagh away would be a tough fixture for anyone in the TC but if we have genuine aspirations to get our act together at Football we should be going up there to give it our best shot and see where that takes us.

I see the Antrim game at home is the same weekend as we've Westmeath at home in hurling, hopefully a double header.

Won't be a double header as Co. Board are on record as saying dressing rooms in Wexford Park simply aren't big enough. With the way backroom teams and all the associated gear has grown in recent years, every senior inter-county team now needs two of the dressing rooms there, so there's just not room to have four of them there on the same day.

I know there are plans in the pipeline to extend the dressing rooms at some stage, but I don't know how far off that'll be.

There's 16 football fixtures that weekend so wouldn't be shocked to see a double header somewhere, for example Cavan and Offaly are also playing that weekend, could be a double header in Navan.

Yeah, actually occurred to me last night as well that there might be double-headers in the neutral round. Fixture details to be announced Friday anyway, so we'll find out then.

Would be a pity if this transpires.

I presume you mean it would be a pity if it's not a double-header, rather than would be a pity if they extend the dressing rooms at some stage. :)

But yeah, that's the situation. Every senior inter-county team at the Park in the past few years has taken two dressing rooms each. Can't see it changing in just a couple of weeks.

Great win for the minor footballers! Really well done to them! Really wasn't expecting a 19 point win!

A bit of a surprise win from the minors, a much needed boost for football at underage. Meath next I believe.

Great win last night, its a decent team we have at minor this year.

Every win like that is a boost.

Was not a surprise at all, this team has been very good all the way along despite having players handpicked away by the hurling set ups.
Two wins this year now for them and one suspects the more games they get the better they will get.
Am I right in saying there is a Rathnure man and Buffers Alley man on the team?
