Replying To Freethinker:  "Perhaps you should stay away Pat. Your comments are ludicrous. Your contributions are nil. Just do everyone a favour and go back to wherever you are isolating. If you have nothing positive to say, then just stay silent. This is the last time I will ever even acknowledge your b……t."
You tellin me to isolate you never even go to a flaming match you said yourself you follow on twitter but yet you come on saying this that and the other and log back on 10 mins and agree with youself. Codding nobody.

Btw the person you said needs a stern talking to does more for GAA in this county in a day than you ever did in your life that much is for sure. Unless you count coming on here saying we need to prioretise everything as making a contribution.

Apologies for that bit of ould static that comes in from time to time. Great show from the hurlers yesterday. A good response to last weeks lack lustre display. Todays display from Kildare gives our lads and Oisin some idea of where they are at. This is one that Kildare probably let slip and we know all to well what that feels like. Kildare should take heart. Their u17 and 20 displays are boding well for them and gives us focal point to aim for. Best of luck to the minors on their next outing.

The U15 footballers had a good win away to Wexford on Saturday, John Daniels of Blessington is doing Trojan work with the underage squads in his first year and Gavin Weir has brought major enthusiasm to his S&C role.

It does sort of gladden the heart to see these young lads develop the way they are. We just might be starting to get things at least moving in the right direction and as you say, hats off to those named for their work. Just enquiring around and looking at different club results there does seem to be a concerted effort to lift the coaching standards with all our juveniles. Are Bray falling off a bit here or are other clubs and combinations of clubs closing the gap. St Pats are another club with worryingly few coming through at u17 / 20. Like another poster said, we really need the large town producing players. In fairness, the west are really producing fine young players.

That is certainly interesting. Reading the Carlow forum, most on there think they have the beating of us. I personally think that we could win all three. Like I say, interesting.

Not a bad draw at all.

Carlow at home should be cannon fodder.

Definitely doesn't need any talking to ,in my opinion he has a massive part to play in the future of Wicklow football and should be given everything he asks for to get the job done.

I hope that some of this extra sponsorship money goes to the likes of him and others who are helping develop these young players. This has not always been the case leading to disillusion and people walking away. The whole juvenile scene seems ti be on an upward curve, thanks to Johnathan and others like him but as you say, they are only as good as the support they get. Let them drive it on.

Got to last nights game. A great display by these young players. I thought the midfielders were very good. We just could never get our heads in front. I had the feeling that if we had got in front we had the ability to stay there. Louth got that good start and we were mostly coming from behind. However, that said, congrats to team and management. Keep up the good work.

Well where the hell else do you think the sponsor money is going????

What are you talking about it hasnt always been the case What exactly are you saying??? Or do you know anything at all and throwing stuff around based on nothing. Again running down the volunteers.

You dont have a clue that is for sure. Last week you wanted him given a stern talking to now you think the sponsor money has not being used right or so you are hinting at. Think before you type will you or else stay away

There goes that ould static interference again. Lots of insults but no substance. I didn't think this site accommodated trolls but I suppose it's the modern way. Anyway, thunder has to be listened to. Limited intelligence must be a severe disability to have to live with.

Aside from this noise distraction from the wings, I heard that some more of the u20 team have been called up by Oisin. I wonder if there is any truth in this ? In my opinion (which thankfully I am still allowed), both full back and full forward lines could do with more competition and cover. Looking forward to next weeks game v Carlow. This is one that Carlow will no doubt be anxious to win. Like I said earlier, from reading posts on their forum, the general consensus on there is that they have the beating of us. Here is hoping we can prove them wrong.

I was referring to many conversations that were on their thread following the drawn league match, on the lead up to the first round, and the aftermath of the Wicklow win. I haven't seen it since the Tailteann draw. In fairness many said Wicklow were the better team on the day but on balance the main drift was that our win was more down to Carlow failings than Wicklow dominance. There were many posts, their site is much more active than this one. The Leitrim site was very interesting following the latter games of the league and their loss to Sligo in the championship. Indeed some of their comments regarding managers and even players ( or a certain player) would get you lynched on this forum.

There has been no talk of beating Wicklow on the Carlow post. There hasn't been a word on it in weeks. Propaganda starting early

Carlow have never been cannon fodder for Wicklow or vise versa for that matter. Generally even enough & even the last day when we were so poor it was only at the end when ye got the 2nd goal was it sealed. This game could go either way. I know it was a separate draw but it's very unfair asking a team to have to travel to play the same team again in Championship football within 4 weeks. Luck of the draw I suppose. Will be close & I don't expect either team to be cannon fodder, its not Dublin we are playing.
