Quarter final draw made and some good games ahead. Think Jocks v Pats and Mary's v Brides will be very tight affairs. And Feckins will be hard to beat as well, as will be the Joe's team finding form. I will prob drop in to the Hunterstown v Clans game as on form Clans could cause an upset.

Some great match ups to look forward too in the quarter finals at all levels. At senior, Jock v Pats is a big one, Inter, Clans v Huns could be interesting as well as Roche v Glens. At Junior Dunleer v Glyde another. May the best team win.

I predicted 8 right out of 14 to give me a winning percentage rate of 57% down from 79% from the previous week. Overall my winning rate is 64% over the 3 weeks.

Some great draws in the knock out rounds. Can the Pats upset the Jocks in the Fergal Reel derby? The Feckins and the Gers is a repeat of 1983 Senior final in which the Feckins won to win their maiden Senior title.

How are you this week ollie ? Looks like I'm up a pint. Or would you rather a doubles or quits scenario for 1/4 finals action ?

Junior and 2nd team players forgotten about again and clubs will then cry they can't get numbers out training.

Its 3 months since my club played in Division 5 with no sign of the last 2 games getting fixed or word on a championship.

Well, what do you say about that crazy match between the Jocks and the Pats. 1 point win for the Jocks all scores from play bar 1. Pats 8 scores from frees and a fisted point Think we should throw the rule book on the bin as it wasn't used today.

How was it crazy? A very competitive game from start to finish. Wholehearted effort all round. As usual some strange decisions by ref which probably favoured the champions. A draw with extra time would have been a fairer reflection of the game. Good luck to Feargal and the Jocks, It's a crazy world ok but if every game was as good as this one we'd be better off,

I have a sneaky feeling the blues are going to win the SFC this year.

Past Hurler, you might just be right there. Everyones talking about Marys or Jocks as likely winners. Never write off the Blues, they will be hard to beat and getting form. Jocks have a big task ahead based on present form of the Mary's but have they been tested yet?. Jocks have had 3 hard games, especially against the Pats who don't take prisoners yet couldn't break the Jocks defence down. Few sore lads today. Made hard work of it with wide count and few missed frees or 45s. Mary's on the other hand, seem to be flying with huge scores and no shortage of goals. This one will be very interesting and its in Darver. Hard one to call but Mairtins have been winning these hard games so I favour Sam's army.

What's the latest with the new County ground. Anyone know what's happening as I hear no real construction has started bar clearing the field. Is there a problem?

I think glyde will win the Championship but I think it's great to see the tones in a semi final ..I've seen them a couple of times this year and they are an exciting team to watch..I think it's there 100th anniversary this year ? What an achievement it would be for them to get to a championship final.

Crazy weekend of football.

Senior probably being the most entertaining after the Martins meltdown in second half. All credit to Ardee who came back from 7pts down but the Martins will find that one hard to forget.
Blues looking very strong. I always favour a team that is quietly going about their business though I do think Ardee in the final will be a real test.
I'll go Blues due to their pedigree for finals.

Intermediate is always a tough contest. Cooley looking to be benefitting from playing in the stronger league. St Kevin's, who possibly should have been relegated from division 2 last year, are this year's surprise.
I don't see Cooley letting this slip.

Junior was more competitive than I expected. Thought Finbarrs would have to much for Stabannon, but their youth dragged them over the line. Glyde bet a very naive Tones who gave up possession way to easy but battle hard.
Glyde might have to much in the middle for Stabannon who could have to use Reynolds and Crilly to try and stop them but this will reduce their own contribution for Stabannon going forward.

Meltdown is harsh on The Martins.
