I'm also a big fan of the underage regional competitions. Last year would certainly benefit those who've competed in it. I'm not sure if a colts team are involved in the u16 football this year but I know Last years u14 colts won't be involved in the u15 hurling competition. Not sure the reason for this. Assuming football will be the same but can't confirm it.

Haha. You do realize a) unlike football, second tier counties don't play in the senior club hurling. If Carlow teams played Wicklow, Meath or Louth sides it would be another story and b) the hurling champions have been playing after not having had a game for three months!! It's apples and oranges. The football champions had wins over Tier 2 teams from Wicklow and Laois. St Mullins beat Wexford (Tier 1). Flip it next year - let hurling go second and see what happens.
