Read the article again, he's not writing us off. He admires McGuinness but hated his style of football.
A nothing, empty article without any substance.

Lads waxing lyrical about fellas going well at junior and intermediate level..."
When we won the three in a row senior championships 07-09 , we only had Rory Kav in county team.

Some people are always finding ways to be easily offended - it's the nature of the world these days..

Replying To totalrecall:  "Don't believe there is an agenda against them, but surely there must be a couple of lads capable of making the squad, we have had a few unexceptional players make their inter County debuts in the last couple of seasons, especially in 2023....I will say aodh ruadh as a team are capable of better than they are showing at the moment, they are hamstrung by a management with a one dimensional system of play based on fear. There is still a significant gap between eunans, n conaill, to a lesser degree kilcar and the rest."
Is it true they cut ties with the current manager at the 2022 due to his negative style of play only to take him back because they could get no one else?

Just back after spending the summer in the states - great buzz about the football scene again now the messiah has returned.

This will be fantastic for the county game, will bring back the buzz but most importantly bring back the players and the fans who had been disillusioned the last few years.

Only thing I'd b concerned about is that it will set the club scene back again as most poor coaches in the county will again try copy his ultra defensive mindset on the game.

Only got to the last 2 rounds of group games having returned from travelling.

What's the verdict on where it's all at.?

To me it look likes the same type of football as last year and also the same contenders.

Kilcar and Gweedore have regressed have they ?

It will be very very difficult to topple Glenties/Fintown as they are brilliantly organised and experienced and I do t see anyone outside ourselves been able to do it been honest..

I would say every club left in the competition will be wanting to see Eunans and Naomh Conaill drawn together in the quarter finals as there is no seeding in the draw. Then, if they can avoid the winner of that hypothetical until the final, will maybe feel on a one-off day they could cause an upset.

The prelim draws will be interesting. Apart from CCF v Ardara, all are derbies. It's do or die from here on in so hopefully the intensity will increase.

Agree, it's between Naomh Conaill and the Conwal & Leck boys.

Would it kill you to call Naomh Conaill by their proper name? I think Jim will select his squad and have them playing his way regardless of how the clubs are playing.
Can't wait for next season now with Jim back, hope is restored.

As usual you haven't the decency to call the current County Champions by our proper name Naomh Conaill ? Plenty of good teams in the competition and with an open draw Glenswilly, Kilcar, Aodh Rua and Gweedore will all fancy there chances if they get a decent draw.

Is he hoping that Eunans and N Conaill get drawn together so that one of them will go and we don't have to watch the awful football that one of them will bring to the semis. Maybe the other semi would be worth watching then.

What we saw from Eunans in last years final wasnt football.

Eunans forever thinks he's the moderator. He attacks people for having an opinion yet hasn't the decency to call n Conal by their right name. Childish and jealousy comes to mind. Petty chap.

Some of the football being played is pretty awful tbh so far, by most teams and the big 2

Decency ???

Brian Mc Eniff calls ye glenties and us Letterkenny - wats the big deal ???

If it's good enough for our greatest ever mgr - it will go for me.

You can't b serious on Aodh Rua - they have taken puke football to another level…

Is who hoping ?

If it's me then no I'm not hoping that at all - I want glenties/Fintown in the final to put the record straight and right the wrong of last year..

You'd rather watch Aodh rua v Gweedore or someone in the semis over Eunans v glenties/Fintown - that's absolute nonsense….

I agree yes but unfortunately that's the level glenties/Fintown bring the game down to and let ourselves get sucked into it…..

Lots of lessons better have been learnt in the camp from that

Who am I supposed to have attacked and when ?

If you could let me know Mr Former chairman please ?

Agreed - it's not gonna change either in the coming years with the messiah back at the helm and looking at how much success glenties/Fintown have got from it - it's here to stay I'm afraid…
