Replying To The keeper:  "I am only going from what i was told from someone that knows them well, shane o'donnell is supposed to be going to the states after college, and niall is taking a year out from the county due to a recurring injury.
As i said, i hope that is not the case and they change there plans, as i want to see the best players playing for Donegal."
Good man for keeping us informed. Wee question were all these n Conal defenders that we were missing last year.

Thats the job of the management, to improve the defenders that are already there and find some new players that are out there.
What is it our last all Ireland winning manager said to rte, '' there are 15 to 20 good footballers in every county, its just a matter of giving them the ingredients to reach there potential'.
So far its nice to see our new management being positive and optimistic, makes a change from the excuses of the last few years, injuries, covid, the moon.
I wish the new management all the very best for the year, exciting times and hopefully it will add new enthusiasm to the players available. As the players looked uninspired the last few seasons.

As usual you side stepped my question. Not surprising any way . How did you enjoy the game Wednesday night, were you happy with the way we set up . You still talking about Mc Guinness. Listen lad Mc Guinness is not going to manage us, do you finally get it. He's a soccer man now.

And what . Sure he said himself he was concentrating on soccer, fair play to him. I help out myself at my local soccer club still doesn't make me a soccer man. I'm sure the keeper can answer for himself???. Or maybe he's away playing with fintown harps. Have a nice day

Nope, never played soccer. I am a gaa man.
Not that i have anything against anyone following there dreams, should it be soccer, rugby or gaa, or any other sports.
The only thing that i ask from any team i support is to aim to be the best, and have confidence in your abilities.
Thats all i ask from management, no excuses.
Unlike you, i have faith that we are as good as any other county if we get our preparations correct.

Stay in division 1. Win Ulster and make croke park this year then I'll agree with you that we're as good the rest maybe bar Dublin and Kerry. Any thing else is a a no progress year..

Paddy McBrearty new Donegal captain. Nice reward for his years of dedication to the county. His desire to do well for Donegal is shown by the fact he's been working with antoin mcfadden recently on a fitness program on his own and looks in great shape.

Well done and good luck to Paddy as our new captain, he has the experience and hopefully he will have a great season this year, looking forward to the Kerry game now, hope we get off to a good start to the league, it's a good time to be playing Kerry but whatever team they bring will be a tough test for our boys.

Any updates on if Gallan , Ban, Patton etc back yet ?
Niall and Shane updates ? The two Eunans men definitely gone ?

I'd imagine they'll have a challenge game soon.

I wonder what kind of a squad Kerry will have next weekend? I suppose no maytter who they have up they'll be formidable but it's probably the best time to play them in the League before they're up to speed fitness & sharpness wise.
Hopefully there will be a decent crowd and it would be fantastic if Paddy Carr's reign could get off to a good start. I think there's a bit of gloom around the county at the moment, so a win over the All Ireland champions would certainly help in that regard. Obviosuly not an easy task though.

Everyone has committed to the squad apart from Michael Murphy and Neil McGee who have retired from last year.

Difficult given the structure. QF onwards will be in Croke Park. Means Donegal have to top the group or finish second and win the PQF. You do get home advantage for that though.
