Lads, stop worrying about what Roscommon thinks of us because we aren't their rivals. Mayo are, and Mayo thinks as much about them as they do to us.

For a brief while in the early to mid 90s when Roscommon had a half decent team we also had one, and our teams and supporters didn't fawn over them.

Look to Longford winning Leinster titles at youth age, look at Fermanagh keeping going every year without any complaints. They are the ones to follow

Boys & Girls... look at Sligo today.. within 3 points of causing a shock. We may buck up soon or forget about it.

I compared Leitrim to Sligo at the start of the league and was laughed at. The right management team can get improve any team and beyond. Sligo punching above their weight

I was prepared to give him a chance but we'll not do it with the current buck that's for sure.

Some drivel on this forum for the last few weeks. You are all wondering how to improve fortune of Leitrim football. Have you considered getting off this forum for a few months, close it down and stop making fools out of yourselves

You'd want to lay off the baccy altogether if you are getting that paranoid and bitter. It is nothing to do with rivalry or worrying what people think. Sligo and Roscommon have similar limited populations, limited resources and similar issues with regard to young people moving away and both had been in the doldrums. There's is no reason Leitrim can't take learnings from both their neightbours who managed to turn things around. It doesn't mean that what Roscommon are doing is perfect but it's not that long ago we were in Division 4 and bankrupt. Look at Sligo, great underage, schools and club success and have been very competitive against Galway last year and Mayo this year. Longford, like a lot of Leinster counties, struggle to translate any underage success into significant senior improvement.

Leitrim football is as low as it has ever been, this is one of the only places where Leitrim supporters can discuss the state of Leitrim football.

I was very impressed by Sligo's performance yesterday, and I'd genuinely like to see Sligo win the Tailteann Cup.

Sligo have got their house in order at every grade, senior, underage and club and schools level and deserve great credit.

what's all this about 'baccy'? Such rubbish. Roscommon is twice the size of Leitrim, it isn't comparable by any means. Longford is. Roscommon have also struggled to translate underage success into any senior improvement. Being a yo yo div 2 team isn't the measure of success in fairness.

Is Pairc Sean going to be ready for the Mayo game?
not that it will matter where the game is played, but the last game played there is close to 12 months ago,
what is the latest on the redevelopment

I hope for Leitrim football's sake your attitude is in a minority. Connacht titles, QFs and consistent top 10 team is a huge improvement on where we were. Consistently competitive at club as well and out performing a lot of football counties with bigger populations than ourselves. You are also choosing to ignore Sligo. When you factor in that soccer is the main sport of their biggest urban centre, their GAA population isn't far off Leitrim.
