With all the complex permutations for Leitrim and other counties the only fair thing is to have all the final rounds of games played at the same time on the final day of the league, and let the best team go up. Final round for all teams is down for next week March 24th at 1pm. If this game isn't played tomorrow between Wexford and Tipp, or mid week, then I hope our county board and others refuse to play the final round of games until it is played. If we all play the final round bar the outstanding Wexford vs Tipp game, then going into that game if it's at a later date, , when it is played, it may be that Wexford will know a win will promote them and Tipp know they have nothing to play for. Completely unfair I know I'm ahead of myself and maybe ranting here but I have seen rubbish like this happen with division 4 before. It wouldn't happen with any other division. Let's hope they play the game tomorrow, or mid week, or wait until they have it played and then all play the final round at the same time together. Well done to Andy and the boys today. I turned the radio off after we were 5 points down and came back to level and then Laois got the goal to go 3 up. I said "same old story" To come back from that at the end and win and Laois to hit the post with the injury time free that would have drawn it - maybe just maybe our luck is in at last. Great stuff lads" Yeah we went up to Patricks Park, then we were all brought up to Ferns. Both pitches unplayable. Biblical rain. There were some big floods on the road home. What if Waterford beat Laois on the final day? Stranger things have happened. Wait until the Wexford vs Tipp game is played. Laois are promoted. They are +33 even if Waterford some how bet them they won't be them by much more than a point or 2. Leitrim wexford Longford are not making up that difference. It's a straight shootout now with Longford in the driving seat as they are the only team out of the 3 with destiny in their own hands. Unfortunately for Leitrim I see Longford winning against Wexford and we will prob beat tipp in carrick on the last day and finish on the magic 10 points but it won't be enough. Yes we can look back at the last second goal against Carlow and curse it but we shouldn't have bet Wexford in carrick. Funnily if then results had to reversed and we bet Carlow and lost to Wexford we would not already be in Div 4 for another year as both Longford and Wexford would have us on head to head regardless what results happen next weekend. lugdrum (Leitrim) - Posts: 315 - 16/03/2024 21:47:59 2531551 Link

It looks fairly straightforward for your guys now, I can't see Tipp causing you any problems next weekend.
