Agree with that decision even though some people might disagree. Even if the two lads do not get any game time, it will be a great experience for them to experience the senior team environment in championship mode. I would not like have to mark McGinley if he came on with 15 minutes to go and Dermot or Enda picking him out. I must have replayed McGinley's goal against Derry about 20 times and it gets better each time. For example I could see Ben and Sean doing a bit of damage together if left up the field one on one with their markers. Happy to leave it to the management team to make the decisions. Lambe already with the senior panel and made his senior debut in the FBD. McGinley turned 20 last month. Next year in Div 2 I would expect to see them more than the upcoming group stage. Davy Burke also gave an update on the injury front. Cathal Heneghan not expected back until round 3 v Cavan (I believe that was MCL injury) Hopeful on Harney (hamstring) Murray (ankle) can feature against Dublin likewise Ronan Daly who picked up a knock. (Game time or not!)" Yea I agree. Think it's a good decision. Could be wrong but did Tyrone draft one of the Canavans into the senior panel on the back of a good underage campaign? We are struggling for scores this year so definitely no harm having more options. Also good to hear Harney and Davy Murray are hoping to be back for Croker. Any idea where the Cavan v Roscommon game will be fixed? Am I right in saying Dublin v Cavan is in Breffni Park and that would leave Mayo and Dublin in a neutral venue? Looking forward to the games this weekend. Interesting to see how Galway, Derry and Mayo fair out. Can't see anything but a win for Kerry over Monaghan. It is provisionally scheduled for 2.15pm on Sunday 16th June, the same time as the Mayo v Dublin match. Well done to the Roscommon Minor footballers and management for progressing into the Connacht final. Seven point winners in Tuam, harsh score line on Galway but our goals came at the right time and gave us the cushion to close out the game. Connacht final will be against favourites Mayo but at least we have home advantage for it and regardless how we do there it's All Ireland Quarter final against Kerry or Cork. Satisfactory performance by the minors last night while leaving lots of space for improvement. (retaining possession and reducing turnovers) Certainly not a double score game as Galway were actually ahead when we scored our first goal just before half time and quickly added a second. Great result and as said earlier great to see us putting out good underage teams. The round Robin format helps greatly with player and team development. Onwards to the Final. At U16 club level last year Boyle and Brigids played in Div 3 in the championship and neither reached the final. Best in Div 1 was Oran/St. Croan's,Castlerea St Kevins,Kilmore/Shannon Gaels,Pearses and best in Div 2 St Michaels/St Ronans. Certainly good for the development of these young rossies. @Endgame Kerry did have a easy win in the Munster final against Cork but they also played each other in a play off which Kerry won narrowly. Hard luck to our U17 and senior hurlers championship campaign over but unlucky not to beat Mayo in both games and reach the finals. Handy win for Mayo yesterday. You'd have to imagine Cavan will approach the Dublin game like a challenge match and save their energies on turning us over in the last game. It will be very interesting how Davy approaches the Dublin game, I don't envy him. I'd suspect him or the team will not want to be losing to our neighbours for the second time in this summers championship in the Hyde and the Mayo game will be prioritised. The strength of Tyrone U20s seen again this afternoon. While our margin of defeat was harsh it really flattered Kerry today as Tyrone could and should have scored about 5-25 today.
