I hear you Machaire, Wooly's not fir many but has good guests and co-presenters. > 4.3K people paying €5 plus VAT per month. Wooly is an argumentative chap at times but that leads to some great pods. 3 or 4 pods per week this time of year, 2 or 3 per week for the club championship. For me the best national pod by a distance. RTE GAA pod the worst, surprisingly, since GAA on the radio is very good. A few journalists doing nixers telling GAA dad jokes to retired player while they're patting themselves on the back. Woeful. They need to move with the times. Used to like Rouses Examiner pod but not enough to pay for it.

I think colm is grand.. he likes to have different opinions and he's always given Roscommon football a great shout over the last few years when the likes of rte only talk about the top 4 teams. He even backed Davy burke this week saying he didn't have a go at the players that he was just frustrated with having so many players unavailable. Davy just needs to learn how to control his emotions at times because he says things that are just giving national media a field day.

Separate note altogether but I have been told that the Roscommon clubs have not got any fixture details for the upcoming league games in 3 weeks from the County Board? Must be very frustrating being a player training, trying to plan your external life and not knowing what day or time your matches are going to be only 3 weeks out?!

County board need to be more on the ball - the GAA intercounty season is well structured and fixtures are out well in advance. No excuse not to give clubs their fixtures and then they wonder why clubs are putting in objections and requests because they have weddings, lads away etc...

DCU won the Freshers A All Ireland title tonight beating University of Galway 4-9 to 0-8 very harsh score line as DCU scored three late goals. DCU had Eoin Ward Roscommon U20 player from last year starting and David Neary who's part of the Roscomon U20 manangement is also part of DCU management team.

Hard luck to Conor Harley,Oisín O'Flaherty,John Finnerty the Roscommon lads that was part of the University of Galway panel.

Do we know for sure if T O'Rourke, R Daly and Harney are in the mix for this weekend? Any word on Doyles or O'Carrolls fitness? Sunday looking cold, dry but overcast for the game with not too bad of a breeze.

Team named and as ever expect one or two changes before throw in.

C Carroll
D Murray B Stack N Higgins

R Dolan D Cregg R Fallon
D Smith D Murtagh J Fitzpatrick

Subs - C Lavin,N Daly,P Gavin,C Walsh,L Glennon,E Flynn,T O'Rourke,A Glennon,C Cox,C Connolly,C Heneghan

Just two of those injured has made the 26 and will be another match or two before Ronan Daly,Ben O'Carroll and Ultan Harney return. Best of luck to Roscommon on Sunday's must win match.

Thanks for that. Need some big performances this Sunday. 7 from that u20 AI runner up team in the 26, and that's not even including Doyle, O'Carroll and McDermott.

O'Rourke into the 26 at McDermotts expense?
Big one Sunday, lose and we'll be relegated. A win would give us a fighting chance of staying up.

When was the last time before last Saturday that no Daly played on the match day 20?

Happened a lot under McStays time as manager then he had them starting for the junior team.

He wasn't a fan of the Dalys right enough.
Probably wouldn't salute and say "Yes Sir"

We gave a better account of ourselves against Dublin last week than Kerry tonight.

Mayo beaten in a simliar manner to us against Tyrone.. If we can win tomorrow it will be another four pointer in MacHale Park next weekend.

Dublin outstanding tonight. Only the League but Jack O'Connor cut a worried figure in the stand. Con O'Callaghan on fire so no shame for Brian Stack to have struggled last week. Tyrone were a lot better today than against Roscommon. We must win tomorrow and a big game then next Saturday in Castlebar. The points are there for Roscommon to stay up if we're good enough.

Unreal stuff from Con. The more I think of that Tyrone game the more I think it was there for the taking. Anyway, hopefully the lads can get a win tomorrow, it's all over if not.

Huge game needed tomorrow, I remember when we playing them 2013 as a D3 team. And they have been a consistent D1 team since. We can't afford to play with current our current basketball defensive system at the moment and need more numbers up front. They are missing key players and are their for the taking.

My memory from last year we played a good chunk of the game with black cards. Hopefully we can improve defensively tomorrow and keep our discipline.

Tyrone 1st half tonight 4 scores from 8 shots and only on score from play. Granted they improved a lot 2nd half but their overall score was 1-15 a point more than they scored against Roscommon. As outstanding Dublin was one can't ignore how poor Kerry defended as a team tonight and I believe that was the biggest scoring total they have ever conceded in a league game no wonder Jack O'Connor looked like a bulldog chewing a wasp in the stand.

Missing key players and are their for the taking is something Monaghan will be thinking themselves. Team that defends best will win this match.

Team that scores most goals wins this match, neither can defend.

Great win. Huge improvement all around especially defensively. Young Higgins is very impressive. Has the sort of pace Roscommon have been missing. Great to see Tadgh back as well. Some brilliant scores taken. Saying all that I expected Monaghan to put up much stiffer resistance. I thought they'd have more of a bite in the second half but they never looked like getting back in the game. We still need another big win to try and stay up.
