All the best to my home club St Brigids tomorrow. The weather is poor and hopefully it does not ruin the what should be a good game

It has been lovely to see all the good luck messages from fellow Roscommon clubs

Up Brigids

Best of luck to St Brigid's today. Hopefully the team play to full potential and give it a real go. Heading to Croke Park shortly to support both Connacht teams.

That was really tough on Bridget's. They lost a bit of focus at the end. This will hurt them for a long time.

They played some great stuff, but they were really hanging on in the last 10 minutes. Even with the extra man, they couldn't create many opportunities. Another point or two would have killed it. To not kick a single wide until the last kick of the game was remarkable.
Glen meanwhile, kicked a bag full of terrible wides.
While I don't want single anyone out for criticism, the Brigid's goalie was caught badly out of position for the Glass goal. Expect the worst is an old saying for defenders and keepers. There was always a strong chances Brigid's were going to lose possession from the free as Glen had pushed up on them.
Brigid's can be very proud of their lads today. There are some brilliant young footballers there.

Brigid's gave it their best shot. They just couldn't contain Glass in the last 10 mins. One of the best individual performances I ever saw in a game. There was no shame in losing to that team. They are a battle hardened team.

Thrilling final but a terrible way to lose! Hard luck on Brigid's!

Hard luck Brigids. I know easy to say but maybe a bit of inexperience impacted some decision making in the last ten minutes. Glen a great outfit as well.

I know Glen kicked a lot of wides but most of them were mental efforts to be taking on in that day. Brigids didn't take pot shots by and large.

Hindsight is great but considering the wind could a better scoring position not have been worked from that final free? There was time.

Hard luck to Brigids as final loses goes that's as tough as it gets.

Against the odds and whereby many many local and national journalists wrote them off Brigids took the game to Glen. Loads of pure skill on show all they were lacking was the bit of experience to be expected when 10 of the starting are aged 19 to 24. A more experienced team 4 points in front would have closed out both halves and worst of all the 2nd goal was a pure gift to Glen not a hope would they have won with that goal.

They'll come again too many talent in that Brigids side not too.

Man goes down with cramp don't drop his leg and kick the ball to a man surrounded by opposition
Anyway well done brigits by far the better team however glens misfortunate last year has resulted in over exuberant commentary on Glen winning today heads up and hopefully Roscommon club and county fare better in next year

27 minutes played in the 1st half Brigids the better and most composed team and leading 0-8 to 0-4

It was more or less the same with 55 minutes played Brigids 1-11 to 1-7 ahead.

The lapses in concentration at the end of both halves cost Brigids that All-Ireland title today. Glen only had moments and that includes their County players. The 10 wides they kicked was as much about Brigids forcing them to shoot from positions they didn't want and a rattled Glen made a number of poor shot selections on those wides.

Have to lose one to win one certainly worked out for Glen and if that young Brigids team stick together they can go one better than today in the years ahead.

Without that goal. Ben O'Carroll has bulked up and was excellent. Ruairi Fallon very impressive too. Conor Glass outstanding for Glen. From a Roscommon point of view, don't think either of Brigid's midfielders is top inter county standard. Brigid's will regret not closing that out because they'll face a lot of competition to get out of Roscommon this year, never mind get back to an All Ireland Final. Overall Glen may feel they deserved it. They had a lot of wides. Brigid's incredibly didn't kick a wide until the end when Shane Cunnane missed the chance to equalise. All roads now lead to Omagh.

Disappointing result for the Brigids lads, that a bit of inexperience cost them. Need to hold their heads up and be proud what they have achieved for a young bunch. Let's hope the county Brigids lads can bring this level into the county and kick on.

Hard luck to St Brigids. They were getting well shouted on in this Galway household, that's for sure. Was hoping to see a double for the West and it looked on but for some poor closing out in the last 5-10 mins, and an outrageous final few mins from Conor Glass. Brigids played some great football for long spells and they should be back with the young age profile there. The club scene sees a fair bit of 'having to lose one to win one' play out, with Glen, Kilmacud Crokes, Kilcoo all doing it that way in recent years. Brigids could well be back again.

Hard luck to Brigids and congrats to Glen. Really impressed again with Ben O Carroll. I felt Brigids should have won that game.
