Hear hear. The senior team of the championship analysis was very good as well.

Replying To endgame:  "I'm not putting any pressure on Davy Burke. A Connacht title and an All Ireland semi final appearance in 2023 will do me.! Look forward to seeing the full back room team. Roscommon have plenty of good footballers and we've been underachieving these last few years. Best of luck to the new Management and to the players for next year."
Agree, Burke a good appointment for Roscommon, talented team but have shown at times not to be mentally strong in the past, failure to close out games. Sport phycologist I think would be a good addition to the coaching team. Getting some players like Compton and Mulloolly back and then blending youth with experience might be the way forward.

As someone who has played under Davy, I can say he is a fantastic coach and man manager. He's a very popular figure in Kildare gaa circles and many would like to see him at the helm in his native county. The only fault he has is he sometimes loses the cool on the sideline but nothing OTT

I like Roscommon football, and I follow this thread. One thing leaves me wondering: does Knockcroghery field teams anymore.

I was there one night around the Millenium. The people sounded mad passionate about their football. But I never see anyone post about Knockcroghery here. Do they have Internet in that lovely village?

They just won the intermediate title today at the third attempt it must be. I'm sure there'll be big celebrations there tonight. The club is St Dominics. Congrats and hard luck eire og.

The team in Knockcroghery is called St Dominic's, it will be a lively spot this week as they won the county intermediate football title today.

Dominics are Knockcroghery team, won todays intermediate title after losing the previous two finals so well done to them on finally getting over the line.

Strange game that swung one way to the other. Like a lot of finals it was nervy, errors a plenty and not many of the key players stood out. Eire Og can be proud of their year and competitive display today but the best team at intermediate won the title and all the best to them in the Connacht championship.

Good to hear so many positive comments about Davy Burke. Seems like a extremely passionate lad with a great football brain. I'm confident he will get the best out of us

My intermediate team of the championship.

Mike Holland (Croans) former underage intercounty midfield who I thought exceled in his new role. Steady under the high ball and good distribution on his re-starts

Adam Whyte (Fuerty) Adam had a steady championship marking some lively forwards and more than holding his own against them.

Eoin McCormack (St Doms) good year for him for club and county and example to any club player that it's never too late to put their hand up for county level.

Kyran Dockery (St Doms) between corner back or wing back he did a solid role for the county champions and popped up with 1-3 over the course of the championship

Jack Lohan (St Doms) Since returning from the USA he slotted back into the team and made it stronger. A bright future ahead for last years county U20 player.

Thomas Greene (Eire Og) reached the final due to good defensive showing and Tomas at CHB played a big role in that. On Sunday he did a good marking job on Keith Doyle who didn't start making impact on the match until he move into midfield

Philip Neilan (Fuerty) Phil was probably Fuerty's most consistent performer, even in defeat in the semi final he was very good including a few fine scores for his team

Keith Doyle (Doms) played much of this championship in the half forward line and scored 0-11 but its when he was moved into midfield did he really stand out. The best fielder of the ball in this years championship

Enda Crawley (Eire Og) Enda was very good on route to the final and delivered a decent final performance also has formed a good partnership with last years county minor James Greene

Liam Creaton (Eire Og) didn't have his best of games in the final but Liam gave some fine individual performances scoring 0-21 all bar 4 points from play.

Aengus Lyons (Fuerty) With Niall Kilroy only playing a small role in this years championships and Ennis gone they needed someone to step up with scores and Aengus 4 goals certainly helped. A true team player also with work rate and defensive work for his team

Daire Keenan (St Doms) A skilful and talented footballer 0-15 scored and all from play. Can see why he's on the extended county panel

Darren Donnelly (St Doms) championship top scorer with 2-39. one should never underestimate the importance of a good free taker and even that was seen yesterday when he was off the field for ten minutes with a black

Conor Cox (Eire Og) one of the reason why Eire Og reached the final. 4 points for him yesterday and played his role in one of the goals. His performance in semi final was probably the best individual performance in this years championship only Donnelly scored more than him in this years championship

Dan Malone (Croans) his best year for his club scoring 3-7 and made up for the loss of Aidan Brogan.

unlucky to miss out or was also considered Ross Timoty,Eoin Ward,Eoin Fallon,Jamesie Greene,Oisn Lyons,Mark Ward to name but a few.

NFL Division 1 fixtures are out.

We have 4 games at home Tyrone, Armagh, Donegal and near and dearest neighbours Mayo.

Away trips to Monaghan, Galway and Kerry

Where did you find these dates?

Hope that's the final set of fixtures.
4 home, no Saturday night trips to Omagh or Armagh so not too bad.
Well need 6 points to have a hope of staying up.

As good a set of fixtures as we could have hoped for really if these are correct. 4 winnable home games and having Mayo and Armagh at home will be great for the town as they will travel in huge numbers. Kerry away is probably no harm as it's the one game I think no matter where it is most teams will struggle with so better to have others at home. Would have liked Monaghan at home but no reason we can't go there and Galway and be competitive. In truth bar Kerry that should be the aim in all of these fixtures and hopefully we can sneak the points required to stay up.

Is it still the strong rumour down in Ross that the Hyde will be closed and similar to a few years ago games will be played at neutral venues in Carrick and Pearse Park like previous.

Heard a rumour that Fire Officers condemned the terraces and open seats?
Hopefully just usual negative false nonsense......
I hope....

IF this is true then where do supporters draw the line? If we can't even play league games at home something needs to happen and serious questions need to be asked of this county board. A division one team with no home ground, no training facilities? How long ago now since they were told about the work that's needed to bring our county ground to standard?? How long are we promised a new training centre for our County teams? And how much money have us supporters put into them through fundraising draws, Club Rossie membership etc?? If these rumours are true and I can't bring my children to watch my flagship team in their own ground against the country's best, then I won't be putting another Euro their way.

Still awaiting additional funding before any work can commence and the chances of that money coming between now and Match is slim. Building materials have greatly increased it would be wise to halt things either way.

How much more funding is needed or where is all the money for these draws?

They could atleast make a start on the most pressing matters such as toilets wheelchari access etc
