I hear ye lads but Tierney is capable of getting a few goals against Meath, he might have been quiet but on Sunday its likely we will see him to good effect. He is one of our most dangerous players when on his game. JahTribe (Galway) - Posts: 165 - 27/06/2025 20:18:17 2621633 Link 2 |

They were the same odds before the draw was even made. They'll be nothing between them because it's been fine margins between Armagh and Galway in each and every game the last few years something you seem to totally ignore once again.

What odds you'll continue to belittle Galway for the rest of your days?

Heaney banged one over for connacht in croker back in November so I'd still bank on him to shoot them. Have some really good 2 point options off bench in Cooke, Heaney, Molloy.

Any of players on pitch could do this. Hoping tierney fires tomorrow he was ineffective in croker last year, I could be wrong but don't think he scored after getting first point of game v Dublin in QF He around long enough now and needs to take game by scruff of neck jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1606 - 28/06/2025 11:47:55 2621698 Link 0 |
I think we've a few dark horses ready to bolt on that lovely Croke Park grass tomorrow…a performance could be brewing. Cmon Galway!! togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1084 - 28/06/2025 13:48:50 2621727 Link 3 |

Very excited about today. But also very very wary of this Meath side. anotheralias (Galway) - Posts: 995 - 29/06/2025 11:00:34 2621989 Link 0 |
30 mins gone and we are muck. Playing into their plan and we can't see it. Livid. togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1084 - 29/06/2025 14:17:35 2622060 Link 1 |
Playing into their plan is a crazy take, Galway slowing the game down at every opportunity. Can only see a Galway win now though, yee won't be that bad again in the 2nd half

Half time and that performance is an insult to the great Galway support and the families that forked out and drove from all corners of the county to watch this. Sad, pathetic effort. By God Almighty we better see a competent change in approach for the second half. We still believe in them but this is actually upsetting to watch so far. Cmon Galway, up the effort and give us something to cheer about. togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1084 - 29/06/2025 14:28:57 2622067 Link 2 |
Seems some of the changes aren't working that well.Might be better in second half.

Both teams have missed chances that could have livened up the match a bit. Galway need to stop giving the ball away. Thompson needs to wake up. Trump2020 (Galway) - Posts: 2584 - 29/06/2025 14:35:29 2622072 Link 0 |
It's not a crazy take, Robbie wants it played slow and lateral by us as he doesn't want fast paced, direct running in attack or quick ball into Finnerty, Walsh, Tierney. Slow approach by us suits your set up

When did Shane Walsh change his name to Shane Welsh?? cavanman47 (Cavan) - Posts: 5279 - 29/06/2025 14:43:19 2622077 Link 1 |
Slow build up, side to side, aimless passing first half. We tear teams apart when we play fast attacking football. Clueless. StopTheLights (Galway) - Posts: 430 - 29/06/2025 14:45:58 2622080 Link 1 |
Shocking stuff altogether side to side and backwards lucky to be playing a bang average Meath team. Eire89 (Galway) - Posts: 354 - 29/06/2025 14:49:46 2622084 Link 0 |
The clue is in changing a team that has won their last 2 games and are starting to play together.
