Put out of our misery in fairness... first half killed us...

Congratulations Meath. I thought after our 2nd goal we'd pull away and win it but fair play the Meath for hanging in there and not giving up. We made far too many mistakes to beat anyone.

I think Galway finally ran out of luck. Galway were my favourites for the All Ireland at the start of the year but injuries to Comer and Walsh held them back. I think they were lucky to get out of the group as they got a couple of lucky goals against Derry and should have been beaten that day to be honest. I think with the squad they have there is an All Ireland in that team but not sure if Joyce will continue for another year. They have some determination to come back from the dead against Derry, Armagh and even coming back from 6 points today to lead for a period but their luck ran out eventually. Is their an issue with the Croke Park surface as players from team seemed to be slipping very easily?

The first half was bad for Galway and haunted us a bit.
Thank you to PJ and the panel of great players.

Could be after he went today club football in Dublin lol, what's so hard about saying Walsh?
Hard luck Galway, Meath deserved it but I would have loved to see extra time, that Croke park surface was like an ice rink.
Comer made some impact, pity he wasn't fit to play the whole match.
I hope Joyce stays on but I suppose the pressure will be on for change.

Ref was a problem for us in that game. We're used to getting frees when we're fouled, and that didn't always happen today. We're better off out of it, i don't think we'd have won a semi, and I don't think Meath will either.

Kevin O'Brien or Kevin Johnston. O'Brien should surely be approached to take over the job.

I think it was their legs that ran out rather than their l7ck.Too many changes before start. Why change a winning team.Beggars belief to be honest but there you go.

Better team won. Lots of stuff went wrong for us including lads losing their footing whatever that was about. Ive been banging on about it for years but when under pressure you need to be able to win your own kick out. In fairness to Meath they went to town on our kick out I'd imagine the second half stats aren't pretty on the long ones. Fair play PJ and lads for getting the support back at games, we will have great days again

Will Galway be looking for a new manager for 2026?
If so, that's Galway, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo in Connacht alone.

How could any genuine supporter feel their county is better off beaten?

New rules?
Cynical foul of player gaining the mark - committee chickened out on proper punishment.
Still impossible to tell what is a foul - refs seem to make it up, absolutely no consistency even in a five minute spell. Legal tackle needs to be defined properly.
But, what lost the game was the unwillingness to attack, to go for scores and the continuing kick out debacle.

Yet they dropped a goalkeeper who had better stats in last 2 games that they won and was improving.Would make you wonder.

And I agree with you totally.Changing rules in the middle of a competition even tweaks should be an absolute no no.Who gave them power to do that I wonder?
