Heard the rumours a week back, very shrewd Manager is Kevin Johnson. He's definitely worth an inter county gig somewhere along the road, interesting to see who'll be installed for 2025 to try complete the 3 in a row.

Finnian O'Laoi and James McLaughlin back in Galway squad according to the Examiner. No decision on Cooke yet.

O Laoi made an impact every time he came on in 2022. Don't know what you were watching. Great addition back into the panel.

Yes He's a more than useful impact sub and one player that understands the importance of that role. Be interesting to see can McLaughlin established himself at senior county level so far injury have stalled his progress.

Hoping PJ & Co do all they can to get Cooke in as seen in club championship he is needed. Any outgoings confirmed? Presume some panel members over last few years who struggled to make matchday panels are gone. In a way its a positive that Corofin are out and also Kilmacud means PJ has a full deck over the winter.

I'd have to agree with original poster he is energetic and wholehearted but has no scoring threat now I was wrong with Maher and Darcy rejoining so hopefully he will be another.

We must have 10 solid options who would prefer to be in midfield should we look at trying one as another 14 with new rules like Kerry did with Tommy Walsh as an alternative to comer.

Conroy Maher Cooke mcdaid Darcy Egan McLaughlin the 2 O'Neill arguably tierney would all prefer to play midfield

Hernon & Kelly also play a bit out there or will we have too many square pegs in round hole.

Any truth to Cein Darcy and Shane Walsh both returning to their home clubs for 2025? Has Colm Costello been called in?

Nail on the head.

We have an abundance of middle third players at the moment. Lots of really good players.

We could do with a few more scoring options inside.

We are very dependent on Damo and Shane to the point we played them when they were clearly unfit.

Getting the balance right will make or break Galway. Square pegs (although very good square pegs!!) and round holes could be the issue!

Mcglinchy should not be brought in way 2 young give him min 2 years Galway have plenty of midfield options he still very young snd in fairness was very average this year for Tuam it's just an age thing but brining him in now makes no sense in my opinion he 2 more years undrr 20

I forgot mcglinchy yes he is a year younger than Costello would have 2 yrs u20 left.

Has Thompson been brought in? I'd leave Costello another year anyway too.

Dunne for barna I thought had an impressive club championship a half forward with good scoring ability

That's great, no harm to give him a taste of it and see how he goes. Be a good experience for him either way. He has time on his side and has lots of quality .
Hope that Cillian O Curraoin kicks on this year, I'm curious as to why he fell out of favour along with the likes of Cunningham last year when we were it seemed to me anyway to be crying out for more options inside given all the injuries
