Pretty sure I'm sorted now TG. Mine are probably a bit young to bring to this game so just needed the one! I do think tickets will materialise over the weekend for people though. galwayman2 (Galway) - Posts: 1307 - 19/07/2022 11:03:19 2432878 Link 0 |

I might not shout for Galway hurlers but I'll be hoping for a Galway win in this one and I think they have a really good chance too. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 19/07/2022 12:19:07 2432909 Link 2 |
All the best of luck for Sunday lads. It's a tall order but this Kerry team is by no means unbeatable. Hope ye do the business. Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9730 - 19/07/2022 12:27:26 2432912 Link 2 |
Go for it lads. Galway are every bit as good as hyped up Kerry. Sock it to them. Grasp the opportunity with both hands. We were Kerry's bogey team in the 60's. Let's repeat the dose here. We have the tradition, the skill, the class, the style, the footballing ability, the courage, guts and determination. Leave it all on the pitch. Gaillimh Abu! I won a ticket to the All Ireland Football Final from our Club draw! A stanch Galway hurling supporter I've always followed our Footballers, but unfortunately I can't make Croke Park this time. I have given my ticket to a South Connemara buddy from Leitir Móir who had asked me to keep an eye out for a ticket! Up Galway!! katser (Galway) - Posts: 2548 - 19/07/2022 16:31:13 2432982 Link 3 |
Yes, something brewing up here and these lads could just unleash on Sunday. Good nerves, this could be on!!

It is dual fans like you Katser I have great respect for even if one code is more your priority than the other. I am slightly the reverse but will always follow our hurlers through good and bad. I will always recall the amount of aer arann and cancer care West sponsored jersies at the 2012 hurling semi against Cork. We actually had i would say 60% support that particular day but lots of football people at that match going by the jersey type they were wearing. My point is we are one Galway and fortunate to be in the frame most years in either one code or the other.

Best of luck to Galway on Sunday. This is a really tough Galway side. If you take away two unfortunate goals late v armagh they have won the last two games v handily and on the form line would have cake walked ulster this year had they been in it. That kind of team usually gives Kerry plenty to think about. seanie08 (Monaghan) - Posts: 1880 - 19/07/2022 21:57:28 2433028 Link 2 |
Yeah I won't lie, I've a good feeling about this game. Put kerry under pressure and they're vulnerable. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 20/07/2022 10:11:35 2433048 Link 1 |
Its noticeable that the Kerry pundits aren't even giving it the Yerra this week. Looking at Darragh O'Se in the times today and James O'Donoghue on the Football pod. Maybe there is an element of the reverse yerra but they seem very very confident indeed. MaroonedinDublin (Galway) - Posts: 35 - 20/07/2022 10:16:05 2433049 Link 2 |
I was speaking to someone from Gort yesterday who made a great point. A lot of Hurling fans rowed in behind the footballers in the 90s when the Hurlers weren't up to much and the same thing has happened in the last 10 years with Football people rowing in behind the Hurlers. I might be wrong but we seem to be different than the likes of Cork or Tipp where theres almost an animosity between sets of fans. Now maybe thats because there is such a clear Geographical divide in Galway for the most part that fans dont feel like anyone is moving in on their territory so to speak. Whatever it is, I'm very proud how Galway people for the most part support both codes vigorously! MaroonedinDublin (Galway) - Posts: 35 - 20/07/2022 10:20:08 2433052 Link 1 |

Comer will need to be pre-bandaged on Sunday as they will have flying tackles against him as a strategy. Paul Conroy will be the man to stand up on Sunday. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1728 - 20/07/2022 11:40:50 2433092 Link 1 |
Peter 'the Great' Canavan strongly tipping Kerry, saying that Spillane, Moynihan and Murphy off the bench will tip it in their favour in the last 10 mins. He sees it coming down to the last 10. We'll have to be able to counter that bench threat with well prepared end game match ups and give our biggest ever last 10 mins in years. He's also expecting David Moran and Tom O'Sullivan to push into positions to shoot from range, well outside the D. I think we might be well set for that and will block, break, hassle and harry for every single ball out there. Savage hunger will be shown at the back as they all know it could well come down to a kick of a ball. togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1044 - 20/07/2022 11:54:15 2433101 Link 0 |
