I'm guessing they correspond to whatever were the five most active threads in the dedicated Westmeath forum before the change. Which just goes to show why it so much better to have one separate place for each separate county.

There's no such thing bad publicity, - - - " inaccuracies included."

This is just like little house on the prairie when the railroad swindled the people out of their land and they all had to pack up there wagons and move on to another township.

So 4 days have passed since this nonsensical move... are ye hoping this just will pass over? What's the point of this thread if ye are not going to respond to posters comments?

I agree with you Pikeman. One forum per county should be the norm. This forum was intended for wider topics, like the league, championship matches and structure. I don't know why all but two county forums were removed.

Rest in piece Hoganstand. The main reason most went to the site was to chat about local issues. Well there is a gap in the market now for any tech heads out there!

Agree, one forum for all things county. Why would anybody want to scroll through forums from Ballycastle to Derrynane?

This is a total mess now, can see a lot of fellas leaving here already, it was a dated format anyway but it still worked, now it's like looking in a junk drawer.

Jasus hadn't been on in awhile. Came on to Meath forum first as I always do. Clicked to go to national and only Meath and Cavan ones up. Now won't make no difference to me. But find it very strange as all many got myself included on the main forum is wums etc.

Yeah I agree. Always find the Meath one lot more interesting than the Kerry/dub slagging that a post always descends to on national one.

As another poster mentioned a few pages back admin must have assumed that many posters would leave due to the new format.
This change was to help them focus their resources more efficiently but if everyone just moves over to the national forum theyd still have the same amount of traffic to manage,so they'll have taken people leaving into account.

It might have been brought in to fish out the multiple accounts, your head would need to be screwed on to keep up with this.

So now we have on the main page Topics for:

Tyrone GAA Forum - All Ireland Champs 2021
Tyrone All Ireland Champs 2021
Tyrone Senior Championship
Tyrone Senior Reserve Championship
Tyrone Intermediate Championship
Tyrone Intermediate Reserve Championship
Tyrone Junior Championship

PS. Nothing against Tyrone, just giving an example of the ridiculous state the Forum has become. Imagine if every county created 3. 4 or more related topics.

Replying To TheUsername:  "At the end of the day its an internet forum, its choice whether you stay or interact or just dont.

No point cribbing in my opinion, its a free online community you can be part of or not.

If lads were throwing in 20 yoyoo each to keep the place going i could understand some of the demands and outrage. But its not, its free and we are guests by choice.

Ive been involved with some sites like this and generally its run by lads that have an interest (probably from Meath & Cavan) in the subject as a pastime and hobby and run these places voluntarily as a hobby or side gig and more often and not at a cost to their own time and finances. What are we contributing to justify demands froma resource point of view.

I know the cost both time and finance of keeping the lights on in these places, can be quite significant. I wouldn't like to admining or moding up to 35 odd forums as a pastime or maintaining the news feed.

People with their knickers in a twist, could probably do with a break away from here anyway if it means that much to them to be honest."
This is what we'll be discussing in today's baby infant's class it's called a load of recyclable rubbish, I am sorry to say.

Imagine on your home computer, you decide to eliminate all sub folders - everything listed in one master folder - it would be a self-inflicted nightmare - to each their own.

The way it was before was better no doubt, way better, but what'll happen is after a few weeks we'll all just get used to it and just accept it and forget the way it was, and some will then laugh at those who criticised the move and mock them for being afraid of change.
