Blackbog purely because i was born around the Corner from the Blackbog road in Carlow Town
Every one in Carlow knows it and many years ago before housing estates took over it was a well known walk out of town for courting couples . I believe my father proposed to my mother on the blackbog rd!!

A wild night out that ended in a few of us getting transported from the local and eventually sleeping in the 'emergency accommodation" .

My grandfather played for Limerick in the fifties, he taught me how to hurl when I was a kid.
he was a widower who used to boil everything for his dinner to mush in an old black pot he called a skillet... Name has lots of good memories for me despite how horrible the food was.

Anyone with good yarns as to why they have the user name they have?
Mine fairly straightforward. From the South division in Limerick and back in the day was a bit of a sham before life got in the way"
There was a character in Heartbeat called Greengrass. He was brilliantly played by the late, great Bill Maynard. That character always brought a smile to my face.

He's a great character, always up to some tricks or other, a bit of divilment in him but no real harm. Heartbeat is a great show. Seems pure innocent stuff in comparison to most television shows nowadays but puts a smile on my face.

GreenandRed . You're right. He was constantly up to some divilment or other. it was a great show when Bill Maynard was in it. The soundtrack was always brilliant.
