Munster Hurling Final

Haven't limerick hammered them 2 years in a row on munster?
I'm not convinced this will even be competitive tbh, bizarrely I won't rule tipp out of the all Ireland because if they avoid playing limerick they could beat anyone else.

Replying To munsterchamps:  "gillane dropped......no room for dan morrissey either.....mulcahy in for gillane. presuming tom morrissey on frees."
Suprised there's no room for Dan, he's a huge addition. Not surprised about Gillane, he hasn't been firing on all cylinders and you can't carry a guy to hit frees. He'd be some man to bring in, chomping at the bit. Up the treaty! Can't wait for it =)

I dont know if "dropped" is the right word anymore for a regular who doesn't start the next championship match. It's all about the squad...especially when a match is going to be played in very hot conditions. I'd imagine Gillane will play a very significant role at some stage of the game and having strong finishers from the bench will be as important as having strong starters.

I'm inclined to agree with you. I think Tipp will need at least 3 goals to be in with a shout. Limerick for me by 6+

Replying To katser:  "Tipp won't need pace to create chances....that team are all pure natural gifted hurlers who will just get the ball and shoot over the bar from 60/70 yards (no running required just catch the ball and bam over the bar)
lk are huffing and puffing all year especially in the league.... the last day v Cork they stumbled over the line.. (Wexford would have beaten them)
They are a tired, vulnerable team who are burnt-out."
Tipp are running away with this game in style!!

You think it's all over? All Tipp so far, they could be even further ahead. Big second half performance needed by Limerick to rescue the game.

Lazy analysis by a lot of people to say tipp have a lot of mileage on the clock. There's only 4 players there since 2010. You'd swear there was 10 the way people are talking.

A long way to go yet but that's as good a half of hurling that I've seen tipp play. Jason Forde giving an exhibition of how to play against a deep lying centre back. A shooter and scorer should always be played at centre forward. Morris having a great game. Finn hasn't been able to lay a glove on him either.
Limerick won't go down without one hell of a fight though.

Tipp unreal first half, thought Limerick had a goal scratched off harshly. But no mistake Tipp turbo charged. The only thing is, this hurling, anything can happen.

Red card to Gillane all day long.

Ref absolutely bottled it.

I mean why give a yellow. He either saw the strike or not. If he saw it it's a red, if not play on.

Embarrassing second half out of Tipperary.

Sheedys little clap at half time has backfired

In saying that, Gillane should have been sent off and banned for a dirty strike

We've seen why Limerick are all Ireland champions. Amazing second half display. The big talking point will be gillane not being sent off

Yes gillane should have gone and he may face further sanction later...the change of Dan coming to full back was huge,it settled all the backs..think questions will be asked of sheedy cos in 2nd half some legs went..a question on why he hasn't given more young players a chance..think tipp may well struggle now cos they gave so much in ihe first half..

A game of two halves. Tipp sublime in the first/Limerick in the second. Limerick should have gone down to 14 but Aaron Gillane won't look a gift horse in the mouth. Brilliant Limerick in the end but don't give them the AI just yet. Remember who took the plaudits at the end of the year in 19

Tipp looked like a Junior team in the second half and completely blew it...they had the game wrapped up at half time!
Definitely Guillane and Flanagan should have got straight red.

Not as much as Shefflin writing off Limerick.

What an unbelievable second half from limerick. There's no doubt that tipps legs went and they couldn't live with them in second half.
Two awesome halves by each team. At half time I said I'd be happy no matter what happened in the second half and when the dust settles I still think Tipp won't or shouldn't to downbeat. That game will stand to them massively. Main worries are the form of Noel and Brendan and John Mcgrath unsurprisingly not being brought on. A two week break now will be good for them and they'll go again for quarter finals knowing they can give limerick plenty of problems. Shooting was a slight worry but I'd expect that to come right.
Beaten by an awesome. Down but definitely not out and I don't think any of the qualifier winners will be hoping for get Tipp in the draw - eventho it would mean avoiding limerick in semis.

And so should the lad that pulled across Hegarty, but of course he did not see that. The fact is Tipp were overwhelmed in the second- but what's new. In '62, '75, '81, '96 '07 and today went Limerick ten or more points down against them and except in '62 they came back and beat Tipperary, although it they did it replays on a few occasions. You will also be happy to know that is the first time any of the big three were beating by the same opposition four years in a row in the Championship. Have a lovely evening .

Well your not alone- our boys also shut up Henry Shefflin, who was so dismissive at half time.
