You are spot on! Kiely sais he is worried about the game ! What about his his short hand passing out of defense it's terrible to watch like football ! Nothing at all about one of his players strike on Joe last year, the reality is his team are fouling 99% of the time to stop the advantage of the attacking team. Can't believe they gave him air time on the Sunday game and failed to analyse the match at all. The best think to do with a spoilt child is ignore them !

if this advantage rule remains hurling will become a freetaking competition. Strange that any hurling men who are asked about it are against it

I don't think Limerick are the world heaters they're being made out to be which I've said here multiple times. However they're still most definitely the best team in the country. A game in salthill won't define them - a pitch where no game of hurling should ever be played. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 17/05/2021 00:03:29 2342618 Link 1 |
Tremendous win for Galway today. Just think about it. This could be the first step winning All-Ireland #4 ? (Something like that) in almost 125 years. No wonder people of your perception and ilk are shouting from the mountain- top. Who wouldn't be. Sweet dreams. PatOLogical (Limerick) - Posts: 1355 - 17/05/2021 01:24:39 2342622 Link 0 |
Don't know what interview you watched but he said Galway were the better team and deserved to win.

John Kiely looked very foolish and immature. He has either lost control of things and is worried about the season ahead or his head is gone too big for reason. brisbane (Galway) - Posts: 674 - 17/05/2021 07:46:55 2342630 Link 4 |
John Kiely's mask came off yesterday, he must be worried about Galway! baire (Galway) - Posts: 1785 - 17/05/2021 08:50:35 2342641 Link 1 |
If you didn't see the game, you shouldn't comment. There was no diving, just a bunch of sour grapes that fell out of someone's mouth!

Jesus you have a very short memory ?? In relation to hegartys strike on canning last year. You better take off those green glasses and when you do try and look at the blight this Limerick team method of hurling is having on hurling! With all this handpassing in the back and around the middle and fouling early to stop teams getting a run on them!

You need to make sure your own house is neat and tidy before calling out simulation like Kiely did. I didn't see him complain when Diarmuid Byrnes dived to get David Reidy sent off in 2018. LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2471 - 17/05/2021 09:04:41 2342651 Link 4 |
A biteen arrogant, on both counts, I'd say! According to the TG4 commentators yesterday, the pitch was in excellent condition. B'fhéidir nach dtuigeann tú an Ghaeilge, a mhaicín!

Kiely was fine with Ref. Owens in 2018 Final allowing Limerick lad 9 steps before scoring goal lol suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1667 - 17/05/2021 10:08:41 2342674 Link 2 |
I look forward to hearing from all Galway posters when decisions go against ye in games and especially a close game..have a look again at the full game and see how many actual frees limerick genuinely conceded not what they were blown for..I'll ask ye then to have a look at frees Galway should have conceded..we are talking about how supposed rules have changed for 2021..looking forward to getting a right crack off ye later in year..also James Owens likes Galway big time, the same man who found just under 10 mins injury time in 2018 to get them back into match..I also don't think all commentators and analysts are all wrong.. If you keep hitting lads in and around the head with hurls and hands you're bound to concede frees. Fairly simple really ... Donaldtrump (Galway) - Posts: 252 - 17/05/2021 10:47:18 2342691 Link 2 |
I didn't see the game so cannot really comment on the simulation/diving that's being mentioned. foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 1903 - 17/05/2021 10:58:23 2342697 Link 0 |
Unlike in football, there's an unwillingness amongst hurling commentators to call out foul play for the dirt it is. There was nothing 'manly' about the dirty belt Hegarty gave Joe Canning last year despite Shefflin saying it didn't merit a red. You can blame James Owens all you like but Limerick also gave away a load of frees against Tipp. As Wexico said earlier on this thread, it isn't rocket science to cut out the fouling. Or the lack of discipline which continued at the final whistle e.g. Diarmuid Byrnes. Ailteoir (Galway) - Posts: 859 - 17/05/2021 11:00:03 2342699 Link 2 |
Was it Diarmuid Byrnes? Think again LRH

Ye will soon learn to stop fouling then! If you foul then guess what !! It's a free !! Ye do the most fouling and have done for the last year or so a lot of it is tactical, Kiely just wants everything his own way he was lucky in a few games last year that his team finished with the full amount. Shane Dowling said that Limerick play on the edge so when you play on the edge you have to accept that this will happen. Ask any hurling men or women are they happy with limericks hand passing game and tactics which in my view is the real scourge on the game!

If we are that did you see the clip of a hurley Tuohy pulled on Hegarty's helmet yesterday. Right in front of Owens and the linesman and no free.
