Replying To thegadfly:  "Yes. 100%. That was a classy Wexford team. Very hard to sustain that level of competitiveness though. A wonderful year for ye. To keep the conveyer belt of talent coming through is the key. I expect Louth to come on strong in the next few years. They seem to be making great stride off the field anyway."
Mickey Harte is very thorough too I'm sure he will add alot to the behind the scenes set up as well from underage up.

Replying To Yourjoking:  "How can the Gaa mess up the league with only 4 teams in a group, everyone should have 1 home match, 1 away match and 1 at a neutral ground, but no some teams have 2 home games. What a shit show."
Hardly. Every year some teams will have less home matches than away in a 7 match league. And at this stage you'd have 2 teams travelling for a neutral venue rather than just one travelling to an away venue? Honestly, it's a non issue this year. Just roll with it

Replying To Ollie2:  "Well I am not greedy so I will settle for a Leinster title. Ironically when Louth last won Sam in the great year of 1957, they beat Tyrone well in the All Ireland semi-final. It was the first Championship meeting between the teams and the only Louth victory over Tyrone in five Championship meetings."
It's gas to think Louth have won an AI more recently than Mayo all the same. Considering all the finals they have been in. Them aul curses are a hoor alright.

Both Louth and Mayo have three All Ireland's each. Louth have a 50% winning rate in All Ireland finals. They played in six finals. They won three and lost three. Compare that to Mayo who played in seventeen finals. They won three and lost fourteen giving them a 18% winning rate.

Tis a terrible record alright for Mayo. Meath could be in trouble if Paddy's curse has the same effect.

Did ye only play in 5 finals Ollie? Didn't ye get a walk over against ourselves back in 1910 after we pulled out of the allireland final due to a dispute with the great Southern railway.

dublin county board tried to get us banned from the allireland for 5 years afterwards only for our neighbours in Cork threatening to pull out of the allireland if we were banned.

True Kingdom Boy. It's the only Ireland final that there has been a walk over so the Wee County were giving the title. The Rumours in the Wee County at that time was that the reason that the Kingdom did not travel was that they were afraid to play the mighty Louth.

That's true Ollie but in the only final played between Mayo and Louth Mayo unfortunately for the Wee County came out on top.

Yes, there is provision for them as it stands. 3 rounds of league, semi finals between the top 2 in each group, and final for the winners of each. But there is the possibility that they will be cut if required, and the 2 teams who win the semis will just be promoted directly I believe.

Replying To royaldunne:  "Why is it only ulster that still holds this view ??
I am genuinely interested, is it self belief? Is it a unwillingness to see what's goin on ? I'm not having a go but no county in Leinster thinks like that. And I am talking about counties that have more all Ireland than either Donegal or Tyrone, Meath are in the top 5 in traditional counties, Offaly have a huge tradition, Kildare same, Laois Westmeath etc have all beat or win provincials this century yet they have all come to the belief that the all ire is now a dead competition,
The view that it's only a warm up (the league) seems to only come from ulster counties. Do they still believe they can beat Dublin? And Kerry ? Let's be honest and I'm not having a go here, neither Donegal nor Tyrone are going to win Sam this year or next for that matter, neither would beat dubs and either would find it hard to beat Kerry, they really are in the also rans along with a lot of other counties. I admire ur optimism, sure I am always a half full glass man. But how many all ire will dub have to win to change these counties minds ? I know Donegal were last team to beat them and all that, however just 4 years previously Meath put 5 goals past cluxton and destroyed them yet we can see what the gaa created , why can't some ulster counties ?"
Put simply.....All-Ireland, Ulster title, League title.

Has always been like this, always will.

Agreed. Its just the format of the competitions that are the problem.

The GAA have confirmed that all football games from divisions one to four and all division one hurling matches that are not shown by a national broadcaster will be available to supporters on GAAGO.
