Local radio commentators I'd presume.

I watched a few of the Euro games including the half time and full time analysis, what struck me most was the professionalism of Darragh Maloney and his pundits. Maloney directed the key issues, he controlled it well and at the same time gave plenty of space and freedom to the pundits to express themselves freely, he timed his interruptions to perfection keeping the debate flowing and interesting, I am leading in to asking a specific question, the question is, - - - Is there any small chance that we may see a Man presenting the Sunday Game again. I have nothing at all against women progressing in all walks of life, for example the next president of the USA will be a woman and so be it, it's highly the next Taoiseach will be a woman and so be it too, Dee Forbes is a Woman and may very well get an extension to her contract and I'll settle for that if she could see her way to give us a Man to present Sunday game even if for only one season, or tell us she hasn't ruled out the possibility of giving a Man the job in the near to distant future, is that too much to ask.?

Eternally grateful. www.levelthe playingfield.pls

Please take your time and read my post carefully once more without bias, I'm sure you'll see it very fair and balanced, if you fail to see that, then I suggest you should hang up your key board / smart phone until you get sorted.

Why do you want a man presenting the Sunday Game, as opposed to a woman? Surely, it should be the best person who is chosen for the job, irrespective of their gender.

Correct, currently sub standard, if the truth was known you'd agree.

Funny that on soccer forums all anyone does is moan about how bad the male RTE pundits are (unless there is a woman on and suddenly Ronnie or Duff is a god)

The next Taoiseach will be Leo Varadkar btw

It could also be argued that a few months ago here on this thread the Sunday game was heavily criticized along with its presenter Joanne Cantwell, short memories etc, In the Euro games, Darragh Maloney and Didi Hamann got rave reviews, have to agree, far superior to RTE's Sunday Game stuff.

PS. What have you got against a woman Taoiseach, Ursula Van Der Lean is a woman and she is doing a great job right across Europe as President.

I have nothing against the next Taoiseach being a women you are the one who brought up the women can't do certain jobs crap.

But it has already been agreed the Leo Varadkar is the next Taoiseach

Right on Leo Breezy, unless the rebels depose him, not likely though.

Can't agree. Joanne Cantwell is sharp, she knows the game and she moves the conversation and analysis on well. The Sunday Game in Michael Lyster's last few years deteriorated very significantly. The pundits particularly the Holy Trinity of Joe Brolly, Pat Spillane and Colm O Rourke were given free rein to be as self indulgent as they wanted. We got the same pronouncements week in week out with the standard of analysis dropping to an all time low.

She is a woman and thats what its really about regardless of what people try to say otherwise. Anyone without an agenda could see she was the clear and obvious choice for the job and has done fine since

Don't agree about Lyster I thought he was always very professional and natural in the hot seat he was always going to be hard to follow. Maybe you are right in relation to the football pundits but I do feel joanne interrupts way to often when a pundit is trying to make a point. I just think she is trying too hard or at least that what it looks like IMO.
