Replying To Trump2020:  "I hope you're right but St Thomas's have not looked brilliant and any team that knocks off Ballygunner can't be too bad. Corofin were lucky to get past Tuam Stars and have looked very plain probably due to playing so much the last few years. Again I hope you're right."
St.Thomas' have a great unity, closeness and understanding with eachother, they are like a family Club Team with 6 Burkes and 3 Cooneys on the starting 15 plus Borris-lleigh don't play the sweeper system unlike Ballygunner, so the old fashioned 15 on 15 open hurling is what St.Thomas' like.
Corofin have a knack of grinding out ugly wins against Defensively Teams but should they get to Croke Park on All Ireland Final Day, they will just excell and turn it on in style in the open space of Croke Park

Replying To Coopers_Helmet:  "Any idea where the hurling will be? Portlaoise looks the most likely option. It should be a good game but I wouldn't discount Borris-Ileigh. They have been the underdog in a lot for their last few games.
On side note did you see their mamascothttps://twitter.com/GAA_BEO/status/1198631614273728513?s=20"
I'd say it will be a Double Header with the Football Semi Final in the Gaelic Grounds, easy accessible for whom it concerns via Transport

Like they did last St Patricks Day?

Replying To BaldyBadger:  "If Nemo can beat Clonmel, I'd say they may have a squeak. Corofin rightly favourites but a stronger forward line could've had them in trouble yesterday. Na Piarsaigh had plenty of possession."
Nemo v Clonmel will be interesting. Nemo will be out for revenge after Michael Quinlivan scored a late late goal to win the MF a couple of years ago.

Tuam, Pearses and Ballintubber were all well organised defensively which forced Corofin to grind out victories. Corofin will hammer any team that set themselves poorly in defence, for example Clann na ngael last year.

The only threat to Corofin is Ballyboden who will play that open football. Eire Og and the two Ulster teams are predominately Defensive who would be cut wide open in Croke Park against a majestic exciting attacking skillful Football Team.

I'd agree. Mountbellew also did the same in last year's county final. They almost snatched the win the first day and frustrated Corofin, making them look poor. Yet, when it came to the All-Ireland final against a team playing a more open game, they destroyed Crokes.

Wide open spaces of Croke Park a bit of myth when plenty of pitches are is big if not the same size. Corofin are clearly the best and it comes down to how teams set themselves up v Corofin and the margin of defeat is decided from that. I highly doubt if they were to meet that Ballyboden will be daft enough to play open football against Corofin. Naomh Conaill can be defensive less so Kilcoo. Neither of the Munster teams left will get close to beating Corofin in the semi final in my view.

Yeah I agree. I guess ugly wins are better than pretty losses any day. Last year Corofin struggled to get out of Galway and Connacht too before turning it on. St Thomas's are obviously skilled and are probably dying to get back to the Final and give a better account of themselves.

Tuluroan just finished as well as Con. Shamrocks. Might be on KCLR archives or fanzine. Both worth a listen. Tomorrow is the L. Final, Balyhale v St. Mullens on tg4! :-) There's more but I've been glued to the radio.

Indeed good luck to both Galway clubs and don't forget fellow Connacht club Tooreen who play Fr. O Neil's of cork in the All Ireland intermediate semi final....would be great if they could pull of a shock.

How hard is it for the GAA to make sure that there is no colour clash between the referee and a team. Corofin v Nemo.

Kilcoo lucky enough to get out of Ulster. Derrygonnelly kicked it away in the Ulster final. I'd rate Kilcoo a top 4 side in Ulster; nothing more. Thought Ballyboden would have won easily enough.

Glenties played them in the Ulster Final, not Derrygonnelly. Kilcoo are a polished enough team, can find the net and have a lovely brand of football. In the All Ireland final on merit.

Kilcoo beat Naomh Conaill in the Ulster Final and were very impressive in doing so. Derrygonnelly was the semi-final. They got the job done again today. Looking forward to the final.
