Replying To Joxer:  "It's going to bother a lot of non-Dubs when they do start losing. I mean what will happen to the "off field advantages argument"? Thank God these off-field advantages haven't done anything for the hurlers or there would a complete melt down."
Theres been a hell of an improvement in the hurlers in the last few years. The advantages have done a lot for the hurlers.

Replying To sam1884:  "The main guys are still there though; yes they've added quality but your McCarthy's, Rock, Cluxton are still there so I'd say the backbone is around. Tyrone benefited from having very seasoned, quality players well established in senior football when Harte brought his successful underage players through in 2003; Canavan, Dooher, Lawn etc were ready to help those players coming through.

Will Dublin be the same without, Cluxton, Rock and McCarthy in particular; who knows! We have to hope it is only a golden generation that will fade; ironicially the more Dublin win it increases the chances of people determined to taint their titles being successful; if they do win 10, by that stage the outroar it's all about unfair advantage may become the narrative but obviously no Dublin team wants to stop winning.

If they lost this years final the 5 in a row team in a very strange Irish way will be held in higher esteem in generations to come than if they go and win 10+ titles."
They will never ever be held in high esteem by anyone outside of Dublin or soup takers on RTE. That's the whole issue - it's a meaningless farce. Their success is bought and paid for by the GAA, right back to when GAA took over fundraising in Dublin in the 90s to when they setup a special committee to concentrate on Dublin in early 00s to the 25 million + pumped into them. Their all Ireland medals are worthless. Be better pawning them and raising money for the thousands of homeless on the streets of the county.

Add Rory Carroll to that list and how many people taught the world collapse when Gavin left....

Replying To Greengrass:  "Haven't done anything for the hurlers ???? Take off the blinkers Joxer."
We arguably had a better team in the early 90s Greengrass under Lar Foley with McMahon, Boland, the Ryans and the lads from Faughs That was without millions, although Galway weren't in Leinster then.

Replying To Fairplayalways:  "If we have to look at this muck football in Croke Park for the next 4 years????...its the equivalent of the Covid lockdown...hard to stomach now to be honest..."
Muck football?? What are you on about? The quality of Dublin's play is exceptional (and I say that as a neutral) - we're lucky to witness of the best players to ever play the game - Cluxton, Fenton, Kilkenny etc.

Despite the doom and gloom, we've seem Munster, Leinster and Ulster finals where the result was in doubt until the very end. Dublin's winning margin in the past five finals has averaged at less that 3 point per game, and there have been two replays. Not the crisis that some make it out to be. This Dublin team will fade, just like the Kerry team that won 8 finals between 75 and 86, and the Kilkenny team that won hammered Waterford, Clare and Limerick in finals, winning 11 out of 15 during their reign.

Digging the hole??

This is incredible Joxer, 2 days ago I said hurling is more a skilful game than football and Dublin's AIG sponsored S&C program holds more weight in football than its does in hurling, you claimed this is garbage and I subsequently asked you why you think this is the case, seems you are still unable to answer this straightforward question.
