"Every single possible discrepancy will be pounced on by the usual ref whinge" I know, why can't peoole just take a beating fair and square and admit they were second best instead of coming on moaning about a refs alledged poor performance. Usually the same few lads also. Dubsfan28 (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 12/07/2019 08:59:24 2209796 Link 1 |

Funny as Dublin are rarely on the wrong end of those calls its easy to pontificate about others. Back to the game our team is very young and this game wont define them they are 1 or 2 years off the real top teams so its important to give these lads the time they need. westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 12/07/2019 09:54:35 2209817 Link 5 |

Why do we keep reducing the capacity of stadiums ? In a sport we're theres never been any serious crowd trouble or danger to supporters we keep reducing all the time, last year Newbridge or nowhere it was a sell out but behind one goal was empty it was shocking to see. I see Killarney is being reduced by 7 thousand over season tickets what is going on? This should be packed to the rafters Mayo are coming to town to play Kerry the biggest game in the towns history and it will have empty space's ridiculous. Honestly this is really winding me up the last few years. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 12/07/2019 11:42:59 2209887 Link 7 |
"Dublin are rarely on the wrong end of those calls" I'm glad you admit that Dublin, like every county, are still on the wrong end of those calls sometimes. Dubsfan28 (Dublin) - Posts: 2509 - 12/07/2019 12:08:49 2209900 Link 0 |
I can't understand why capacity needs to be reduced because of season ticket holders? Are season ticket holders larger than your non season ticket holder or something?

Ah feck sake Clon? The biggest game in the town's history?! Firstly think that was probably the 1937 AI final! Never mind upteen Munster finals between Cork and Kerry when both were heavyweights - which wasn't exactly ages ago! Anyway apparently capacity is reduced because it's a stand alone fixture and they would be worried about a crush with 40k all converging on the ground in the 45mins before show time. I don't think it's sold out yet anyway and I'm sure anyone who wanted a ticket has one. TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 6354 - 12/07/2019 12:34:55 2209916 Link 3 |
My main point is "I'm sick of the reducing our stadiums".

With the greatest respect Clondalkin, the 1937 hurling all-Ireland final played at Fitzgerald stadium, the numerous knock out Munster championship matches against Cork and the 2012 qualifier against Tyrone all supersede the upcoming Mayo match.

Ok This changes everything Paddy Durkan is a huge player for Mayo this is a massive boost for Kerry this could be one injury too far for Mayo, Lee Keegan nowhere near full fitness I'm starting to favor Kerry now , that's just too many key players for Mayo not playing. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 12/07/2019 13:05:51 2209933 Link 6 |
Deffo the hermit, i have been at munster finals in the past when it was straight knockout and crowds were left to sit on the sideline due to overcrowding. Once i remember ppl sitting on the old dugouts. That was the joys of straight knockout woops (Kerry) - Posts: 2073 - 12/07/2019 13:18:44 2209937 Link 0 |
Since not all season ticket holders will fit in the stand the game has to be general admission. That leads to people walking around to find a good spot so you need to leave some space free. Also the fact it's a standalone fixture so 31000 people will arrive together. Killarney is not like Croke Park and the turnstiles can't cope with anymore. It's better to be safe than sorry in situations like this. MayoDan (Mayo) - Posts: 414 - 12/07/2019 13:23:13 2209939 Link 0 |
Ive never seen an injury list like it for Mayo, its such a pity that Mayo wont be anywhere near full strength, would make for a cracking affair. Still hoping for an entertaining game, but Mayo have to be underdogs now, a real pity. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4445 - 12/07/2019 14:17:48 2209963 Link 5 |
Durcan would be a big loss to Mayo but I would take injury reports with a grain of salt at this stage. GeniusGerry (Kerry) - Posts: 2105 - 12/07/2019 14:33:23 2209973 Link 8 |

Wait till 4pm on Sunday, Last week Keegan was not going to play for a few weeks with ligaments and he comes on against Galway. I dont believe any rumours until the throw in. westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 12/07/2019 14:38:35 2209978 Link 3 |
It's a joke. As you say so many matches are sold out yet you can see lots of room on the terraces. What's next, 5 years from now killarney reduced to 25k?
