Replying To Viking66:  "Since Hamas got in they haven't held an election at all. The Ayatollah in Iran isn't elected either."
I think there may have been some logistical and practical issues around having elections in Palestine in the interim

Replying To boxtyburgerbuns:  "You reckon they'd need an excuse?"
Well it's their way of justifying to the rest of the world and the rest of the world stands idly by giving lip service, all because they are afraid of their lives to upset a certain group of people and don't want to be accused of being antisemitic

The US alphabet agencies are saying Iran is not building a bomb or at best years away from it. Trump going on a solo run (with Israel) with this…meanwhile he's putting up a big beautiful pole for an American flag in the White House lawn and holding a press conference to unveil it….this is South Park stuff…mental!

Replying To Seanfanbocht:  "The Good Friday Agreement happened."
There were 3 strands to that agreement, not all followed up on properly. It's so long ago.

Nobody is taking about a united Ireland now though, it's dead in the water. For example, if so called nationalist parties were serious about a United Ireland they would organise massive peaceful protests now, or do something political. I think they are not interested in reunification any more. I could be wrong. It's about Israel bashing in Ireland.
