Challenge game form has been brought into the league.

Every player that ever laced a pair of boots were on the receiving end of hammerings. No player is immune to it. Posters would need to cop themselves on. Leitrim got a bad beating yesterday but they are resilient and they will bounce back.

Harsh on Donal Wrynn there. Gave sterling service and provided leadership when it was wanted.
Did you give the same number of years in the county jersey yourself?

Sligo were in the same position as ourselves a few years ago and look at them now.I don't mind a few beatings if that's the way we go ourselves.Hopefully our underage lads can give us some hope.

Leitrim were playing at home and dismantled. Granted laois beat them well in the league final last year, but a very poor start to division 3 with more tough games ahead like Kildare and offaly who seem to be going well with Mickey Harte involved.

On the bright side on Friday St. Clares comprehensive won a senior title on Friday. They beat a strong crossmilna team including kobe Mcdonald. They have an ireland semi-final in 2 weeks. This was a big win as it was the first time a Leitrim school won a connacht title since 2014 which was ballinamore. Again Shane ward is over this team. Not doing bad at schools football, got to a Connacht A semi-final and won the Connacht C title

No I wasn't good enough, but then I played at a time when you had to be a really good footballer to play for Leitrim. The same can't be said now.

I think all I said about Donal Wrynn was he wasn't fit enough, mobile enough the last number of years to play intercounty football, and I don't blame Donal he was played out of position most of the time the last few years. I never questioned his commitment or leadership, Donal gave great service to Leitrim football.

Sligo are firmly rooted to the bottom of div 3 with us?

The exception being we have played the top two teams and not been disgraced with hammering results (yet anyway).

Leitrim footballers and supporters deserve so much better than Stephen Poacher.

Any word I have heard. Is that the players are happy with the manager. Who do you think the Deserve?
Managers not exactly knocking down the door.

He isn't the right man for the job and don't get me started on the backroom team.
There is proof that if teams get a good manger with experience that they can punch above their weight.
Antrim, sligo, Louth etc. These teams were in the pits before a good appointment was made.
You wouldn't have better players sitting at home if you had Mickey Harte in there for example.
If you truly believe that nothing would be different if Jim Gavin was over the team then you are clueless because I have seen a few post saying it would be no better if Gavin etc were over the team.

Then you have a club player training the team who these boys will play against in the summer come championship. It's comical

Tough start for Stephen Poacher but hopefully he does not come under to much pressure to soon. With all them lads missing it was going to be hard in Div 3 as its very compeitive.

Shouldn't the pride of playing for your county supersede who is in charge of training the team?

It does for those who joined or remained on the panel, but Andy demanded more from them than any of his predecessors and just about managed promotion after 3 years. Mickey would have had to do better, and the players knew right well it is not there at the moment. Pride in the jersey has its limits it would seem. Although Kildare are 2 from 2 I expect to see a much closer game than many expect. Kildare play very open and attack well but I think there will be a great chance for Bernie to excel in this one.
