Who is suspended for Kiltale this weekend? Belt (Meath) - Posts: 272 - 07/09/2023 12:46:59 2503415 Link 0 |
Would not be surprised if one if not both players avoided suspension. kildalkey player got off a red card last year for a striking an opponent. If that red could be rescinded, anything is possible. Premier12345 (Tipperary) - Posts: 48 - 07/09/2023 15:40:29 2503445 Link 0 |

Ratoath to win by 10 plus points, kilmessan to lose by 6 to 10 after a battle. Premier12345 (Tipperary) - Posts: 48 - 09/09/2023 16:15:49 2503598 Link 0 |
I think that was in covid times. Wouldn't pay to provide the service. Always better to be at the game.

You'd have to be worried for the future of Meath Club hurling. Trim Kildalkey Ratoath and Kiltale are miles clear of the rest. Even Trim and Kildalkey put 15 points on Kiltale. Meathgaalad (Meath) - Posts: 171 - 17/09/2023 19:28:58 2504526 Link 1 |
Kiltale comfortable Ratoath get the job done easily enough Don/Ash nearly let it slip but showed good strength to recover and take it in ET K/M definitely not undercooked. Looking very good and will give Kildalkey a right rattle in the semis RR (Meath) - Posts: 165 - 17/09/2023 19:35:27 2504529 Link 0 |
I think you'll find the same in every county. We're lucky in Meath to have 4 teams competing. Westmeath have 3 clubs competing. Kildare have 1. Ballygunner unbeaten in 10 years in Waterford. Both semi finals should go down to the wire. Trim and Kildalkey will be favorites to make the final but you can disregard all games in the championship to date. Ratoath have yet to field a full strength team and have comfortably made the semis. You'd be silly to write off Kiltale in a knockout game. Interesting few weeks ahead. begining (UK) - Posts: 313 - 18/09/2023 09:29:58 2504574 Link 0 |
Great to see two clubs from B group get to intermediate semi finals , for the good of hurling in county you would probably like to see any of the 3 first teams win the intermediate, but it's some going by Kildalkey to be there in last 4, was it 1984 that killyon won a senior and intermediate double? Surely the last team to do it, great to see Kilskyre/Moylagh going well in intermediate, junior B and minor A. Will the minor hurling final be played before the senior ? I think it would be a great boost considering the four teams left standing are all teams without much minor success ever. Out of interest when did Na Fianna or Ratoath last win minor? I know Ashbourne we're only in their first final last year and Kells won it in 2008 v kilmessan , Micky Newman scored 3 goals in the final.Kells also won a football and hurling minor A double in 1994 dickie10 (UK) - Posts: 790 - 18/09/2023 10:34:57 2504581 Link 0 |
Ballygunner have won 10 in a row but they are very good hurling teams in Waterford, its just ballygunner are exceptionally good. Westmeath have 4 teams Lough lene gaels in semifinals this year but its the big three every year especially when only three teams go through to semi finals and final.

Rathmolyon just didn't do enough to deserve to win win the game, out muscled, out fought, out played and out thought, Don/Ash deserving winners and will be hard to beat in a semi final. Drumree like Rathmolyon could have won there game, their younger forwards offered little or nothing to the game where as Kilskyre had the opposite effect, solid performance from KK and they will be a handful in the semi final an possibly the final i think, i am going for the 2 Inter B teams to reach a final. Kiltale not gone away by no means, they might be limited but they know how to win games, team packed with experienced hurlers, Kilmessan looked headless at times. Kildalkey cannot take Kiltale for granted. Ratoath suffered from a massive lead at halftime, hard to keep going when the game is won by halftime, BHG will be happy with their lot for this year, with a full panel Ratoath are right in the mix and will ask many questions of Trim. pixey (Meath) - Posts: 60 - 18/09/2023 14:27:31 2504622 Link 0 |
Id be more thinking Ratoath could upset Trim than Kiltale upset Kildalkey. Kiltale were the worst i seen since they made the breakthrough around 2007. Kildalkey will win by 8-10 points if they play anyway well. Kildalkey not firing great themselves all year, a point win would be better for them as they play one decent game, one mediocre one after the other all year. If its Trim v Kildalkey final, form has to say Trim all day, they have become a bogey team for Kildalkey and they would have to hit top form to win but they are capable of winning on the day because Trim can have very average games themselves. Bang average chamionship this year really, no stand out good teams. dickie10 (UK) - Posts: 790 - 18/09/2023 21:45:29 2504692 Link 1 |
