That should of course say Kiltale-Kildalkey

Have to say, it's some going by Kildalkey not only to field three sides, but to be in contention for silverware in all three competitions they've entered.

Similar story with Trim and Ratoath. Play each other in the last round and will play in the Semi a few weeks afterwards.

Replying To RR:  "Four rounds of the IHC after this weekend

Three rounds featured a walkover in IHC B. One in IHC A.

Just brilliant that is.

Remaining games:

SHC A

Kiltale vs Killyon - Kiltale comfortably
Ratoath vs Na Fianna - Na Fianna been going well, but think Ratoath will just have enough - Ratoath by 1
Trim vs Kildalkey - an absolute belter in store. Coin toss but even I can't call it then - draw.

SHC B

Dunderry vs Longwood - Dunderry seem to have a bit of an edge to them, I'll take it for them by 2
Clann na Gael vs Blackhall Gaels - Sneaky game of the week candidate here - Blackhall are on a roll, BG by 2
Dunboyne vs Kilmessan -Dunboyne seem to be in a bit of bother. Kilmessan by 3

IHC A

Boardsmill vs Kells - Kells are heading back to B. Boardsmill by 12+
Kildalkey vs Drumree - As mentioned above, this is the toughest test Kildalkey's seconds will face. Still reckon they pass it. Kildalkey by 4
Rathmolyon vs Navan O'Mahonys - O'Mahonys weren't firing on all cylinders against Kells but still got the win. Rathmolyon will be a lot better. Rathmolyon by 8

IHC B
Donaghamore/ Ashbourne vs Dunboyne - Dunboyne won against Tones but didn't show much against Trim. Don/Ash aren't putting up massive scores. I'll give it to them by 2."
Mixed bag for me here - 2/3 in SHC A, 1/3 in SHC B, 1/3 in IHC A.

IHC Group A is the most excitement we'll have left I'd say. Kildalkey are the only ones guaranteed a spot, could still have the other five teams potentially going down depending on the ré fixed Kells/Rathmolyon game - anyone know when that is?

IHC B is down to a straight shootout between Don/Ash and Trim next weekend.

Do they not have huge numbers? What would the football situation be in kildalkey? Fair play to them. Doing somthing right.

No they wouldn't have huge numbers the village itself only has 950 people and ballivor is spilt between themselves and killyon with both clubs getting little out of both. They seem to retain there older players for years which allows there younger less experienced players have great examples and leaders.

Many of their older players wouldn't look out of place playing senior championship! Great servants to kildalkey and Meath hurling

Replying To MeathHurler2023:  "Predictions - Round 4 Hurling Championships

SHC A

Kiltale vs Killyon - hard to see anything more thank a Kiltale win here. Kiltale by 8
Ratoath vs Na Fianna - could be a close game as Na Fianna playing some good hurling. But Ratoath should have too much. Ratoath by 4
Trim vs Kildalkey - game of the weekend across all grades. Both teams flying at the moment and the winner will top the group. Kildalkey playing well but Trim just look unbeatable at the moment. Trim by 3

SHC B

Dunderry vs Longwood - very ineteresting game after both teams won against the odds in the last round. Will all depend on who wants it more. If the right Longwood side turn up, they will edge that department. Longwood by 3
Clann na Gael vs Blackhall Gaels - top 2 meet to decide who tops the group. Blackhall have been playing great hurling over the first 3 games and CNG showed in the first 2 games why they are one of the favourites to top Group B. Hard one to call. CNG by 2
Dunboyne vs Kilmessan - Dunboyne not firing at the moment and Kilmessan with 2 losses. I think Kilmessan should do enough to win and put Dunboyne into a real relegation dog fight. Kilmessan by 5

IHC A

Boardsmill vs Kells - Only one winner here. Boardsmill by 10+
Kildalkey vs Drumree - big game here. Drumree will test this strong Kildalkey second team's credentails for winning the IHC this year. This will be a great game and I see Kildalkey sneaking it. Kildalkey by 2
Rathmolyon vs Navan O'Mahonys - Great win for the Village the last time out and this is set to continue this weekend. Rathmoylan by 6

IHC B

Wolfe Tones vs Kilmessan - if this game even goes ahead and conceded by Kilmessan, Wolfe Tones to win easy. Wolfe Tones by 10+
Kilskyre/Moylagh vs Trim - should be an interesting game given the lack of game time Kilskyre/Moylagh have had so far. But I expect them to win. Kilskyre/Moylagh by 6
Donaghamore/ Ashbourne vs Dunboyne - I expect Dongh Ash to win this. Donaghmore/Ashbourne by 5"
Not too bad on my predictions. 3/3 SHC A, 2/3 SHC B, 4/6 IHC.

Senior A going to plan. Straight shootout between Kiltale and Kildalkey for second spot. Ratoath have 4th spot and a quarter final assured. Killyon and Na Fianna playing for maintaing A status.

Senior B is interesting. Blackhall Gaels already through but need a draw or win against Dunboyne to take top spot. Clann na nGael can be assured of second spot with a win over Dunderry, who, like Dunboyne, are in the mix to be relegated back to Intermediate. Longwood or Kilmessan win and a Clann na nGael slip up would open the door for them to finish second. So plenty to play for here.

In IHC A, very suprised Rathmoylan and Boardsmill lost there last round games going on previous results. Just shows how competitative (and unpredictable) the IHC is. I think all teams can still qualify from IHC A. The rearranged fixture between Kells and Rathmoylan will have a big say. In any case, get the calulators ready after the final round!!

In IHC B, Kilskyre/Moylough easily topping the group. They are real dark horses to win the IHC. You would imagine Donaghmore/Ashbourne will beat Trim to take second spot. And amazingly, Kilmessan, even though they gave two walkovers, can stay up on head to head if they beat Dunboyne in there final game!!

Overall, plenty of drama ahead in a few weeks!!

The IHC A looks bizarre, The early stages it looked nailed on Kildalkey, Boardsmill, Drumree and Rathmolyan would go through, there's now a possibility of 2 of these teams missing out and one possibly dropping to IHC B. Any 5 of the teams other than kildalkey have a chance of going through, the last round will be crucial for all these teams. Drumree were always going to have a tough game v Kildalkey, Rathmolyan probably don't have the physicality and it showed v NOM, Boardsmill probably would have beaten Kells on any other day other than last Friday, don't know how the county board thought it was fair for both teams to go out and play during a yellow weather warning, I don't even think both teams had more than 2 points from play. What's wrong with pushing the game out to Saturday?? There was a weather warning out that morning, plenty of time for common sense to come through. The same happened earlier with kildalkey and Navan, every other game was called off in the county but this game was played in horrendous conditions. Surely every team should be given a fair chance in championship hurling.

Very harsh no junior lads get a shout for team of the week, both number 14 for Drumree and number 2 for St. Pats looked capable of comfortably stepping up to a much higher level of hurling

I'm not sure of the research and methodology of choosing 'Team of the Week'. There is probably 1000 Hurlers playing championship every fortnight. It is probably more subjective than objective. You would need stats of players from every match to make an informed decision.

The TOTW seems pretty charitable to the lower grades. Kilskyre/Moylagh get 3 players in the team for hockeying a bad 2nd team, but Kildalkey only get 1 player after giving the strongest team in Meath their toughest game so far...?

A bad second team that has contributed players into the first team all year?
Kildalkey are lucky to get one player in to it - Trim never got near top gear and still won.

No cups were give out in Round 4.
Ratoath, Kiltale and Kildalkey are still in the mix.

I don't quite get what point you're trying to make, that losing players to Trim's senior team has made their second team better...?
