Kildalkey will win by 8-10 points if they play anyway well. Kildalkey not firing great themselves all year, a point win would be better for them as they play one decent game, one mediocre one after the other all year. If its Trim v Kildalkey final, form has to say Trim all day, they have become a bogey team for Kildalkey and they would have to hit top form to win but they are capable of winning on the day because Trim can have very average games themselves. Bang average chamionship this year really, no stand out good teams."
"Kildalkey not firing" Entered 8 competitions across 3 teams. Won the Division 3. Beaten finalists in Division 1. In 3 Cup finals, Donal O Loinsaigh, Billy Byrne and Brendan Davis. In Junior A final. Topped Intermediates and in semi final. Straight to Senior semi finals. They are having a bad year.

Any predictions for upcoming Knockout games?
JHC2
Kilsyre/Moylagh vs Clann na nGael I have Clann winning by 4

JHC1
interesting as it's a repeat of last years Junior 2 final. Very tough to call, Kildalkey in extra time if their forwards are firing

IHC
Kilsyre/Moylagh vs Kildalkey
The village have been very strong at all grades but I think that Kilsyre will have enough to get over the line. Tom Shine Masterclass
Ashbourne vs NOM
Been a fairytale season for Ashbourne beating one of the favourites rathmaloyn but I think this is where it ends. NOM by 5
SHC
Trim VS ratoath
Trim by the minimum. Think ratoath have gotten away with being average all year
Kiltale vs Kildalkey
Kildalkey by 4. Far too strong I feel

Sorry I meant senior team, they have been decent but you couldnt say playing outstanding stuff. its more an indictment of how badly other teams fell away the last year or two. The other teams going very well. I just think either Trim Ratoath or Kildalkey wont be remembered as a real good championship winning team, although it will be massive if Ratoath got over the line to win it. If Trim win it again they could do 4 or 5 in a row easily with the amount of young players they have.

Am I right in thinking that St Pats have automatically been promoted to Intermediates before a sliotar is Throw-In? Interestingly, they were runners up to Kildalkey in Junior 2, but were promoted anyway. They will struggle at Intermediate level, but good luck to them.

Predictions

JH2
Clann na nGael to beat Kilskyre, but will be very close.

JHC
Kildalkey to beat St Pats. Despite St. Pats seeing off Kildalkey with ease in the earlier round, the Kildalkey team has strengthend a fair bit. A good few experienced lads have come in to support some good up coming talent.

Intermediates
It will be a tough match for Kildalkey, but I think (like the juniors) they will have too much for Kilskyre Moylagh. KM have 4 or 5 great talents, but I think Kildalkey will use their experience to curtail them.

Donaghmore Ashbourne will have too much for this Navan team.

Seniors
Kildalkey to beat Kiltale

Ratoath to beat Trim. Ratoath are growing every game.

So Kildalkey will have 2 teams in intermediate next year if they win the junior? Can't see that happening. Similarly if Donaghmore and Kildalkey meet in the intermediate final, Donaghmore would go Senior and represent Meath in the Leinster Junior club hurling championship, regardless of the result.

No that cant happen
I would think nobody goes up when kildalkey win unless pats want to go up.

So if Kildalkey beat Pats in Junior, No one is relegated from Intermediate?

Obviously Kildalkey won't be promoted.

If Kildalkey win the Junior they will NOT have 2 teams in the IHC next year. But they will have to nominate probably 16 Intermediate players who cannot be regraded to Junior. Similarly if the win the Intermediate they will have to nominate 16 Senior players who cannot be regraded to Intermediate, normally clubs have to nominate 8 of the higher grade who cannot be regraded to the next lowest championship in which the club participates.

It would still one up, one down. Pats up, Kilmessan down.

This may not be an issue. I have Kildalkey winning but I wouldn't write pats off at all

In Meath:
Where clubs have 2/3 teams-
Senior Team, Name 15 players.
Intermediate Team, Name 13 players.

Kilmessan couldn't have too many complaints, conceding 3 matches in Intermediate is not good.

It's a really tough one to call. St Pats are going well. I do think the mix of experienced and young lads from Kildalkey, will get them over the line. Plenty of senior Medals between them.

What happens if Don/Ash win the intermediate? seeing as they never got promoted from the Intermediate weaker group?
Do Kilyskyre/Moylagh not go up?

I believe if Donaghmore Ashbourne won the Intermediate Championship they would go up to seniors, the B group is obviously difficult to get out of, as only 2 qualify, but once in the knockout stages, everyone is equal. Only my opinion.

If they win the IHC then by the rules they go up to senior regardless.
Not sure of the situation if they/Navan lose to Kildalkey in the final

Ridiculous question. Obviously they'd go up.
