Former Tyrone star Mattie McGleenan has been appointed as the new Portglenone senior football manager.
The Eglish clubman and ex-Cavan manager takes over from John McKeever, who led the Roger Casements to an Antrim SFC final appearance against Cargin last year. McKeever also delivered a Division 1 League title in 2023.
“The committee, members, players and supporters of Roger Casements GAC would like to thank John McKeever and his management team for their incredible efforts and commitment over the past four years,” Portglenone said in paying tribute to the outgoing manager.
“During John’s time with the club, we’ve enjoyed some unforgettable moments — including winning the Division One League in 2023 and reaching the 2024 Championship Final. These are memories that will stay with us for a long time.
“We wish John and his team every success in their future endeavours.”
