Mickey Cole is set to be named as the new Meath senior hurling manager.
The former Rathmolyon and Meath star - who managed Kildalkey this year - will be appointed on a three-year term at the next county board meeting, subject to ratification by the county committee. He takes over from Johnny Greville, who recently stepped down after two years in charge.
Part of a well-known hurling family, Cole won three Jubilee Cups with Rathmolyon in 1993, 1996 and 2006 before going on to manage Ratoath to their first Meath SHC title in 61 years in 2024.
The Meath Management Committee wish to recommend Mike Cole as the new Senior Hurling Manager. Subject to ratification by the Co. Committee at the meeting in Devenish Park, Dunganny on Wednesday September 23, Mike will be appointed on a three year term. #MeathGAA #McNamaraFeeds https://t.co/sQ2CwDUxnV
