Donegal are set to have Michael Murphy available for their Ulster senior football championship clash against Down later this month.

RTE Sport reports that Murphy is not set to face any sanction for his strike on Kerry opponent Dylan Casey during the first-half of the Ulster champions’ Allianz FL Division 1 League final victory over the Kingdom last Sunday at Croke Park.

Despite replays of the incident showing the Tir Chonaill star landing two strikes before contact to Casey’s head, he was yellow carded in the 16th minute by referee David Gough.

It's now understood there will be no further action taken by the GAA’s Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC), meaning that the 36-year-old is set to be available for his county’s three-in-a-row bid in Ulster, which gets underway against Division 3 champions Down on April 26th.
