This is what the GAA is all about.
After maiden county senior football final wins in their respective counties on Sunday, Armagh’s Madden Raparees and Loughmacrory of Tyrone linked up at the latter’s club last night to celebrate together.
Sunday saw Madden capturing their club’s first Armagh SFC crown by defeating Cullyhanna on a 0-20 to 0-9 scoreline at the Box-It Athletic Grounds, while Loughmacrory also claimed their inaugural Tyrone SFC crown with a 0-18 to 2-11 win against Trillick on the same day.
Incidentally, the Grimley family would be a part of both historic wins. Armagh midfielder Niall and his brother Liam starred in Madden’s 11-point triumph while their other brother Ryan helped Loughmacrory to win by a point at O’Neill Park on the same afternoon.
Last night (Tuesday) saw Madden showing up at Loughmacrory, sparking chants of “we are county champions” when they walked through the door and some brilliant scenes followed which can be watched in the videos below.
This is actually the best video of the lot - the Madden players arriving in Loughmacrory and the two teams singing “we are county champions” at each other 😂😂 pic.twitter.com/1YEu02kFFo
