Munster GAA has confirmed the fixtures for the upcoming McGrath Cup and Munster Hurling League pre-season competitions.

This Friday (January 2) sees the 2026 McGrath Cup getting underway when Waterford host Clare in Dungaravan at 7pm, with Limerick and Tipperary meeting in Rathkeale at the same time.

Meanwhile, the 2026 Munster Hurling League commences the following afternoon when Waterford take on Tipperary in Clonmel (2pm).

The finals of both competitions are set to take place on Saturday, January 17th.

Friday, January 2nd 

McGrath Cup
Waterford v Clare, Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field, Dungarvan, 7pm
Limerick v Tipperary, Mick Neville Park, Rathkeale, 7pm   

Saturday, January 3rd

Munster Hurling League
Tipperary v Waterford, Clonmel Sportsfield, 2pm
Clare v Limerick, Tulla, 2pm 

Tuesday, January 6th

McGrath Cup
Clare v Kerry, Clarecastle, 7pm
Tipperary v Cork, Templetuohy, 7pm

Wednesday, January 7th

Munster Hurling League
Waterford v Kerry, Cappoquin Logistics Fraher Field, Dungarvan, 7pm
Limerick v Cork, TUS Gaelic Grounds, 7:35pm

 *All Munster GAA pre-season games will be played over 60 minutes (30 minutes per half). Teams get two points for a win and one point for a draw.
