Hurling fans weren't happy at Limerick v Clare TV blackout

Last Saturday evening’s Munster SHC clash between Limerick and Clare at the TUS Gaelic Grounds was one of the best games of hurling seen in a long time.

It had everything – drama, brilliant skill, bone-shuddering hits and a famous Clare win which end Limerick’s 1,374-day unbeaten championship run. So for the hurling fans who don’t subscribe to the GAAGO streaming service, there was understandable disappointment at not being able to see a game of this magnitude on RTÉ.

And many of them made their feelings known on social media.

Would have been much better to promote the game by allowing it to be broadcast on TV

What a missed opportunity to grow the game, ridiculous and heads should be rolling for these decisions

Why wasn't this game televised? Bad call GAA.
