Why couldn't we win Leinster with everyone available?

We're not at our best right now, but I don't think Kilkenny and Galway are either.

Dublin are the most settled right now.

Of course we could be in a relegation battle either but those margins are pretty tight.

I don't think we'll win Leinster by the way, but surely this is the time of year to be thinking about it

Leinster is extremely tight . We probably rank fourth in Leinster at the moment but there's not a huge gap between us and 1st but at the same time we could get dragged into a relegation battle if we arent on our game

Team for the Dublin game named

Anyone know if Chin, Conor Hearne, Cian Byrne, and Cian Molloy are injured?

Know that Simon Roche has Fitzgibbon Cup so that's why he's out

Luke Codd and Padraig Jones started for SETU Waterford. Codd scored 1-5, but Mary I were too strong.
Jack Hennessey, Luke Roche, Eoghan Cassin and Alex Lafferty all started for Maynooth, Liam Lynch didnt play, but they were blew away by UL.

Was this in football or hurling?

"In the O'Byrne Shield competition, Colm Hulton's goal proved pivotal as Carlow saw off Wexford by a 1-13 to 0-13 margin to advance to the semi-finals where they will meet Laois on Saturday."

Id be thinking Offaly should improve a bit from last year too. Needed a late Chin goal to beat them at home don't forget. The decks needed to be cleared in the panel and backroom after a woeful year last year but the fact is we aren't getting a lot of the best club players in the county to commit. Really poor at u20 level since Rossi stepped away so it isn't as if we have a supply of young lads coming off successful underage teams like Tipp had. Would love to be more positive but need to be realistic too. KK and Galway folk seem more cynical than usual too about their chances.

No now is the time to be planning for the round robin finding a few players in leauge and building up confidence the time for thinking about winning Leinster is when we are in a Leinster final but we have to get there first so lets stop talking about it till we see where we are.

Offaly are always tough for us to beat. Although Sampson and King retiring might help us, we always seemed to struggle worse with their big men than their smaller skilful ones.

Strange how Fanning is playing in this competition.
Surely it's all about trying out new or newish lads.
Why is our sub goalkeeper not used???
Dublin seem to put out close to a full strength team for some reason.
Time for us to get one over on the Dubs?
I don't think so though.
Verdict -- Dublin to win by 7 points.

Tbh from our own point of view I'd rather new lads at this time of year having to go up against as strong an opposition as possible, and you're right about the keeper situation also, not club bias but I thought Andy Kennedy not getting a game last year was poor form.

Between now and the end of the league if there's 3 or 4 lads (namely Wickham and Rowley for me) who've only come in and look like they can make a difference even off the bench in a round robin game even for now, I'd be content with that considering who's left to come back in to the panel, whatever about Dublin I'd imagine Clare will be a lot better in the league this year than when we played them in Ennis last February also.

I imagine Clare will be doing something similar to ourselves, while Dublin will be going hard at it. Could be wrong of course.
Agree, Im not sure why he hasn't given the other keepers a chance. Why waste their time calling them up if you arent going to play them? Its not as if Mark's puckouts are going to get much better the more you play him at this stage in his career. His strengths are his strengths, Keith won't be learning anything new about him by playing him in the Walsh Cup or League.
