Replying To ElGranSenor:  "Molloy (Really a centre-back but can play at full-back)
Eoin Whelan (As you said)
Michael Dundon
Darragh Kehoe maybe?"
Id say we will have to wait to see who puts their hand up in the Winter or even early Spring. Of that list I think Kehoe might be best suited.

Walsh and Byrbe Cup fixtures are out. In the Walsh Cup we could have 4 games if we win the 1st 3.

Looks like they've brought in a shield too, 60-minute games and penalties instead of extra time

He won't become a full back sitting on the bench anyway.

Look at Robert Doyle for Tipp this year, phenomenal.

Play Darragh for the Walsh cup and league games at full back and give the backing of the management team.

100% full back is a crucial position somebody needs to be given a run of games and Darragh is well capable of earning the number 3 jersey

Me too. He also did well playing fullback for DCU til he got injured, he was their starting full back, and they are the strongest Leinster college team the last couple of years.

Biggest thing for me is toss of a coin to decide the winner if a game can't go ahead. High chance that there'll be a game off somewhere in the province and somewhere along the way due to heavy rain or frost or fog.

And the schedule is very tight. Both the hurlers and footballers could play three matches in a week. But I expect that like this year, the National Leagues will be starting last weekend of January, so that really doesn't give any leeway for postponements or to space things out more in the Walsh & O'Byrne Cups.

Sort of.

I know draft fixtures go out to counties around start of November (so maybe they have them already), and they're asked to do things like confirm venues and identify if there are any issues with proposed throw-in times. But I don't know when they're finalised and actually published. Would guess it'll be sometime later this month.

Saw someone from Kildare put up on Twitter that we are at home to Kildare in the last round of the league

That's going to make for an interesting game, 2 teams not showing eachother much!

On another note, I did hear Barry O'Connor is giving some thought in playing for Wexford in 2026 which is very positive."
Definitely not happening in 2026 anyhow. I listened to the Wexford hurling podcast the other day and he was on it saying he's going back to Oz in January and will not be available this year. He didn't rule out playing for Wexford in the years to come though

Yeah he has Dublin down as playing in Parnell park which may be the case as I saw Meath are now playing their league games in Croke Park next year.

I could be talking nonsense here but If there's a home/away rule we'll be away to both Dublin (last league game vs them was home during Covid) and Clare (played in Ennis in 21 and 22, then Park in 23 and 24 and away last year)

Why would we be away to Clare if we were away to them last year?

We were home to Clare in 2023 and 2024. Its not a home and away arrangement.
