Shane O'Brien who managed Oulart, Westmeath, and the Dublin U20s and Shane Keegan who's Head of Coaching in Laois (Or something to that effect) and has been a soccer manager as well?

They are the two that came to mind for me aswell. Any names being linked as head hurling coach? Would skippy be in with a shout? He seems to have Rathnure flying playing a lovely brand of hurling

Neil O'Loughlin does majority of hurling coaching with the Rathnure lads I believe.

Skippy isn't the lead coach at Rathnure, he's the manager.

That's them, 2 very good men according to anyone who worked with them.

I'd imagine it'd be Neil McLoughlin as coach rather than Skippy

Tbf to Skippy, his managerial record is second-to-none, has lads playing to the peak of their ability rather than lads leaving meat on the bone so to speak

I've no real opinion on either as coaches/managers but I like Keegan when he talks on the radio, comes across as a decent guy and seems really enthusiastic

Apologies lads didn't realise that. He has Rathnure flying in fairness

On the county board bulletin Shane Keegan and Shane O Brien are both listed as Coaches for the senior hurlers . Andy Ronan Rathnure also listed as a selector not sure I know much about him. Chris Coburn S&C coach He seems to have a pretty impressive cv .

Very interesting to see Liam Og McGovern named as a coach/selector along with Joe O Connor. Think Mogie is a smart man and has a huge amount to offer Wexford hurling. Interesting to see aswell Jj Doyle named Minor Hurling manager

JJ was ratified as minor manager a month or 2 back. Good appointment imo.
Mogie is sharp as a tack, it's great to see him still involved with a Wexford team.

Can't work out whether Kildare first up is a good thing or a bad thing

They'll have a target pointed directly at our head now but they would've probably been targeting us anyway so I don't know whether it makes much of a difference to them?

I know it's a bit early as Keith has only finalised his back room team but any rumours of retirements or new faces being added.. would David Dunne who's club form has been good be worth a recall instead of the lines of Dwyer or mcguckian who I don't rate at all… I'm presuming a few more of the rathure squad will have been watched??.. I believe joe Barrett has done his ACL so looks like his a no go this year.. I think his a very good hurler … will Liam Ryan commit this year after his injury problems??

Crucial we get the win in Kildare before we make the trip to Nowlan Park

If we lose to Kildare in the first round we deserve to be in the Joe McDonagh cup for 2027.

It is time the management and squad step up now and make a Leinster final.

With Huw Lawlor and Billy Ryan going travelling for the year, Kilkenny will be weaker.

Galway are going to do a rebuild. Dublin are getting better and we really struggle to beat them.

I think the fixtures worked out well for us, having Dublin and Galway in Wexford Park is huge.

We need to get maximum points from Kildare and Offaly away and see what happens in Nowlan Park.

Won't make any difference. They will be targeting us regardless when the game is. Its up in Newbridge too. I know I would be if I was involved with them.

When did Barrett do his ACL? He has been asked the last 2 years and turned it down anyway. Jippo looked OK for Rapps, not sure what his intentions are.

We need to win all 5 games to be sure of a final.
