Wexford Hurling 2025

Heard this morning that there was an in-house game between the seniors.
Must have been over the weekend.
Apparently Jippo was due to play but sustained an injury before the game begun. How serious it is I don't know.
Hopefully it clears up before Saturday week. How unlucky he is with injuries.
Fingers crossed that the rest of the lads remain injury free.

Replying To Afinestick96:  "Chin has been named captain for the year again. Hearne is this years vice captain . Delighted for Hearne he has came on leaps and bounds and is now one of our most consistent players. Id have Jippo, Damien Reck, Hearne , Chin and Rory as our main key men . If we keep them on the field fit in the championship we'll have a chance."
Can't argue with any of that

Jesus the chap has been ravaged with injury. That's why id ease him back in . Asking Liam to play 70 mins championship in his first game back is a big ask his return needs to be managed carefully.

Agreed, even if it's not true, be very hard to see him getting through the 5 games without picking up an injury of sorts.

Big game for our under 20s on Saturday. Any chance of Byrne or Rowley being available?

That's brilliant news . Just over a week out can't wait for next Saturday now. Hopefully it's a good dry day and we can get a decent crowd in . Best of luck to the 20s tomorrow .

Another poor performance from the under 20 at the moment. They look a poor team, can't see them turning this one around unfortunately. Celtic challenge team drew this morning with clare and to be honest they should have won.

It's a real shame. There are good players in the team but they look totally rudderless

That pitch at Parnell Park is deplorable, there shouldn't be senior intercounty games there if that's going to be the surface, Dublin have a right to play where they want and I understand that it's much harder for the opposition to win there than in Croke Park but that pitch is an affront to hurling

Got that wrong. Well done, showed some of the fighting spirit Wexford teams have shown in the past. Everything so negative on here from Wexford supporters, must be dispiriting for players at any level if they read this forum. Hope they don't, just ignore the noise and keep battling for the Purple and Gold.

Didn't see the u20 match will any of them be involved next weekend for the seniors. Good win against Dublin all the same despite what's been said about management on this.

Would that not be to our advantage this year? Dublin a very mobile young team..we are not. So it'll turn into a.dogfight. I'd back us in that

Wouldn't "udderless" be something they should not listen to.

Well done u20s, ai thought it was gonna be a bad day when we went 4 points or so behind before half time. Decent crowd supporting Wexford today.

Any word on the injury front, we were missing lads today which makes the result a bit sweeter.

Just reading through comments, I really don't think it's OK to be cutting the back off underage teams online, we know well enough young lads read these forums. Supporters should know better and actually show some support

U16 celtic challenge team beat Clares. Heard the ref was poor for the u17s?

Thought it was a great 2nd half. The young lads really stood up. Fullback line were excellent all through, and Paddy Quigley, but the rest of the lads really upped their game in that second half. I've watched a good few u20 games in Leinster and Munster this year and that was definitely the fastest paced.

The team is well set up tactically, I said that after the loss to Kilkenny too. We need lads to come through u20 knowing how to play and win modern hurling games.
