Can GAAGO be transferred from Laptop on to a Smart TV, as games shown on Utube can be. Any advise deeply appreciated. I find watching games on Laptop simply not worth the bother. Oldtourman (Limerick) - Posts: 4467 - 03/05/2024 21:01:52 2542719 Link 0 |
Most straight forward way is to plug a hdmi cable from the tv into the laptop and then hit the source button on your remote control to change it to the right HDMI port. If you already have a hdmi lead plugged in to a separate set top box you can just plug it out of the set top box and straight into you laptop and it will just work straight away. You can cast to most newer tvs also but I won't go into that Fitzy01 (Limerick) - Posts: 411 - 03/05/2024 21:51:49 2542723 Link 0 |
If the smart TV supports Chromecast, you can just cast from the GAAGO app. Same with Apple play. https://support.gaago.ie/support/solutions/articles/77000472403-casting#:~:text=You%20can%20cast%20content%20via,GAAGO%20app%20for%20that%20device. level (Louth) - Posts: 105 - 03/05/2024 22:45:09 2542733 Link 0 |
Can you watch it on your phone, and then cast it to your telly using Google Chrome? BrehonBlonde (Monaghan) - Posts: 84 - 03/05/2024 22:47:20 2542737 Link 0 |

Get yourself a HDMI cable and connect your laptop to the TV. Ive done it before, the quality was better than expected.

There's a few ways to do it. You can download the GAA Go app on a smart TV is probably the easiest . Or you could get a HDMI cable and plug your laptop into the TV Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3143 - 04/05/2024 07:22:46 2542752 Link 1 |

If you have a google Chromecast you can cast it to the screen. However I use a Amazon fire stick. Download the app. DuhallowRed (Cork) - Posts: 301 - 04/05/2024 23:19:34 2543001 Link 0 |

My issue with GAAGO is it is reasonable tricky to use. I can cast etc to the TV but trying to do teach my dad to do it is another problem. Mayonman (Galway) - Posts: 1890 - 16/05/2024 11:15:05 2545067 Link 0 |
True and not true. It's always the case at the outset of the year that exact matches are picked for TV coverage, until the closing games of the round robin in both Munster and Leinster. This is so they can wait until that week and decide which is seen as the more important. For example (and this is purely hypothetical), there'd have been no point at the start of the year in selecting Tipp v Clare for live TV that day, in the expectation that they'd be playing for second & third place and a crack at Limerick in a Munster final - only to maybe end up with a situation where one of them is guaranteed a place in the final anyway, the other one is already out, and it's actually Limerick v Waterford that has more on the line. The RTE package for the year is all set out in the graphic you'll find in the middle of the Irish Times story here: https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/gaelic-games/2024/03/29/rte-announce-schedule-of-live-gaa-matches-for-next-five-months/ link You'll see that for last weekend, for example, the package for the year was that they'd show just the Leinster and Ulster Football Finals. Wouldn't have been as simple as just coming last week and deciding "oh, we'd like to show Cork v Limerick in the hurling as well". In fairness, isn't that a reflection on streaming in general (i.e. trying to get a signal from one device to another), rather that being specific to GAA GO? I always just use a HDMI cable from the laptop to the TV myself. It's foolproof. So long as you have a laptop in the first place! Hi All! I'm on an early stage entrepreneurial course for start ups in Dublin. It is averaging on less than 1 minute Sport Market research and would love your input! Would you mind sparing less than 1 minute to fill out my 5 multiple choice survey questions please? Your feedback would be incredibly valuable and greatly appreciated! Thank you so much in advance for your help if you do complete it. It is completely anonymous too! sporttech (Dublin) - Posts: 1 - 16/05/2024 14:49:00 2545125 Link 0 |

Depends on the TV you have. My main TV is an LG Smart TV that I bought about four years ago. It doesn't show up in the store on that one. A friend of mine has a newer LG model bought just last year, and the app shows up for him all right. It's what's known in the tech trade as "planned obsolescence" Pikeman96 (Wexford) - Posts: 2621 - 16/05/2024 17:32:04 2545160 Link 0 |
