Replying To WexMurph:  "Group B In the senior looks like a group of death. You'd imagine Ferns and Gorey should go close on first and second in the other group. Prob Martins and Oylegate for the first two in the other group although new men in with Shels ( Richie Power) and Harriers (Jj Doyle) and Rapps( Marty Flynn O Connor) will be interesting to see how they go. Glynn, Crossabeg and Oulart and Anne's could be a mini tournament in itself. If I was to pick a winner I think Ferns could be there or there abouts, very hard on Gorey to go back to back, think Martins will improve considerably."
Group B looks extremely tough to call. Tough ask on Cloughbawn coming up from Intermediate with possibly top 4 favourites for title in the one group and Harriers always a tough battle. Also JJ doyle over the harriers could make them a dark horse. Can see cloughbawn in relegation but with new structure of 5th and 6th playing preliminary quarter final, one good outing could change their championship.

Group A I think will be more straight forward with Glynn and Oulart in bottom 2 and toss between them for relegation final. Ferns I think will top the group with Gorey in 2nd.

IHC is so open with both groups really struggle to call it. And big question how will rathnure go in intermediate? Hung on at senior for the last couple of years and won't be just a simple jump back up to senior and every team will be gunning for them. Skippy is over them this year. Can he use his experience and success with the Rapps to transform this team who have all the skill but fall so short every year?

Think Oulart will surprise a few lads this year. Impossible to call Intermediate. Most clubs have lads away travelling, and the end of the split season might affect how hard some of the clubs push at the hurling and the football.

Dragging this one up to return to the topic of U18s playing at adult level. And yes, maybe I'm like a dog with a bone.

Wexford Camogie have released their championships structures & schedules for the year. Remember U18s are allowed to play adult in camogie.

- Their minor championships have eight teams in each grade, split into two groups of four. That means three group games each, with the top two in each group going into semi-finals.
- First group game is early July, and second is mid-July. The third round is listed as either the first week of August or first week of September, with a decision to be made later.
- Either way, there's then a gap until the October Bank Holiday Monday (October 28th) before the semi-finals, and the finals are listed for the following weekend (November 2nd/3rd). This is because all the time in between is needed to allow the girls to play with their club's adult sides instead.

That's the sort of minor championship you get when U18s are allowed to play adult. 50% of players getting only three games. The lucky ones getting one or two more, somewhere between seven and twelve weeks later.

On the other hand, decoupling allows you to continue to play minor matches every Wednesday during July, August and early September because you're not expecting the players to also line out at weekends, and you can play minor matches at weekends throughout the rest of September and October.
