Hurling Relegation Playoff

Replying To Frontier1000:  "Clare beat Cork by 2 points hardly cruising to victory. It is also a fair statement to say that Cork or Limerick are better than Dublin. You're finding all these isolated examples to try and prove your points, what exactly have Dublin done in the past few years or this year to indicate that they are better than Limerick (haha) or Cork? The Munster championship isn't always stronger than Leinster, it wasn't last year but it definitely is this year and only the most biased of Leinster hurling fans can deny this.

Waterford also aren't as bad as everyone here are making out and they would beat Kerry/Kildare/Down with a bit to spare. The original post was right in saying that there should be a relegation playoff vs last in each province."
That was a 10 point win for Clare, like us they have to be much better than you to beat you by a little. Munster has been better than Leinster this year for sure. But it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see an all Leinster AIF all the same.
But this thread is about restructuring the championship. I was merely pointing out that last year Tipp and Waterford both probably deserved to be relegated. Never mind 4 teams go through to the AI series. But they weren't.

Replying To tearintom:  "The rules are the rules, if Wexford get relegated today it's on Wexford, can't change rules half way through a championship.

But structures do need to change.

No one cares about the league, it's become a glorified series of practice matches, forget it.

Run off the championships on a knockout/semi knockout basis to determine the provincial champions and then mix and match Leinster and Munster teams in a super 10/12 team Liam Mac all,Ireland series."
You are correct and honest in your observation. Its a sad state of affairs for Wexford. Leinster needs its strong counties firing and something sadly is amiss.

Well the crisis has given the transport people in Wexford a real problem.Maybe they should come to Mullingar where it works very well
