Definitely more if you include the u16s.

It says on Wikipedia Celtic Park holds 18000, how come it was marked as a sell out on ticketmaster if the crowd was 12000? PattyONeill (Derry) - Posts: 246 - 05/03/2023 13:20:37 2461915 Link 0 |
Could have been 18k 10-15 years ago before health and safety rules got tighter.

Health and Safety changes maybe? MacHale Park can hold 35k but it's only allowed hold 24k these days due H&S rules.

Children don't need tickets to get in so presume they only sell out 60% expecting 40% of the crowd to be under the age 16.

They must have it set up so you can book childrens tickets, free but you need to book it in advance. Kids are definitely counted in the attendance even though not paying. Must only be allowing 12,000 in to celtic park these days. The old health and safety brigade take no chances. Lots of space for more bodies in the terrace behind the goal

11,812 Limerick V Tipp - surprisingly small. I thought Limerick would bring 15k to a home semi final on their own. dahayeser (Cork) - Posts: 353 - 28/03/2023 11:28:14 2467255 Link 0 |
Just over 10k at Mayo v Monaghan. Pretty good considering Mayo were already qualified. I didn't attend due to work commitments but I believe Monaghan brought a decent crowd. yew_tree (Mayo) - Posts: 11409 - 28/03/2023 13:05:40 2467302 Link 2 |

Went to London v Laois on Sunday. Probably around 600 odd there. MartinEgan (UK) - Posts: 84 - 29/03/2023 10:34:47 2467507 Link 0 |
8k? That crowd looked very similar to the Galway Limerick hurling match at the same venue. Official attendance at that hurling game was over 12k. I would say Galway Kerry was that and more when you add in the non paying u16s.

50k in Aviva stadium today for Leinster V Ulster Heino cup. Hope the Allianz league final in Croker can match that at least. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2565 - 01/04/2023 08:56:27 2468079 Link 0 |
