Replying To Viking66:  "Based on what I've seen so far this season and assuming everyone is available, but bearing in mind Chin isn't going to be able to motor all game playing in the middle 8, I'd be going with this team for Cork-

Fanning
S Reck, MOH, Devitt
Donohue, D Reck, Carty
Dee, K Foley
O Foley, Mogie, Dunbar
Chin, Mac, Rory

Subs-
J Lawlor, Jacko, Dwyer, Mcguckin, Hearne, Clarke, Higgins, Flood, C Foley, N Murphy, Byrne Dunbar.

As an aside that's I think 9 lads on the panel who were on the good 2018 u21 team. 10 if you include Flood. More of these lads than have done should've been getting a good amount of League gametime before this year. Probably 2 or 3 years ago. But better late than never!"
Would probably have Dunbar midfield and Charlie in ahead of Kevin.

Flood unlucky to miss out but he's missed a lot of training and isn't fit yet. He was extremely ill

Replying To Past hurler:  "McGuckin is starting under Egan every day of the week.

He has no reason to drop him, the amount of turnovers, hooks and blocks he is getting in matches is consistently high. Good puck out option too."
Very true too. Hes an excellent hurler all round and has really put the effort in the gym over the last couple of years. Like I said it's a close call.

Amazing that Floods even on the pitch yet. Took me months to recover from pneumonia when I was his age.

Replying To Viking66:  "Training hard apparently. This is the start of the real build up to summer now. I'd say Egan has a good idea of his 1st choice 15 and 26 at this stage."
One of the lads told me they were absolutely dogged the Thursday night before the Clare game too

There was 11 puck outs directed at him in The KK Walsh Cup match. KK ended up with possession on 9 of these occasions.

No one was dogged we are training to win a leinster championship not the league. Egan has stated this all along and is only using the leauge to test some players just all relax and it will be a long summer.

I would expect the lads are training very hard now and training will become lighter come mid to end of April

I'd expect the travelling crowd will be fairly small, partly because of what happened v Clare, and partly because the match is on TG4 anyway.

That's true too. It'd be very easy to decide to have an afternoon on the couch, instead of travelling to Cork and back.

The Cork and Limerick games may tell us a lot about where we are at the moment.
Let's hope for a full blooded performance, filled with passion and intensity. Anything less will have us going into the championship lacking in confidence and maybe facing further drubbings.
Let's hope the lads bring their A game to both matches and give it a real lash.
Hopefully our marquee players, Chin and Rory have made a full recovery because if not our chances of victory will be reduced dramatically.

That's my plan to be honest, watch Antrim Laois on GAAGO at 1( got the yearly subscription around xmas), most important div 1 game of the weekend with relegation in mind, watch rugby at 3, record the hurling games on TV and watch Cork Wexford from the start after the rugby is over, I'll probably travel to Limerick the following week. Only thing I'm missing out on is the u20 game at 1.45 in Cork which I would have liked to have seen.

Think the first part of your post is the most important one. Regardless of whether all our best ayers are back or not we will be at nothing without passion and intensity, which were the main characteristics of all our best performances since I've been around. 96, 97LF, 03 AISF, 04 LSF, 07 AIQF, 14 AIQ, 17 LSF, 19 LF, 22 Nowlan Park

Most of those games we weren't supposed to win and we only won or drew them because we outfought the teams we were playing.

Tbh that u20 game is a good reason to go. We would surely make it down in 2 and a half hours after training?
