You'll do well to find anyone who says they are. That said the US is going around like the World Police when MAGA proudly declared they weren't. There is so much screwed up about America right now I wouldn't know where to start.

A good read for you."
You do realise that this war was a follow on to the six day war where Israel attacked the same Arab countries. That said Israel would claim in the six day war they preempted a strike by the same countries. Anyway the upshot of the Yom Kippur war was Egypt and Jordan making peace treaties with Israel. It also resulted in Egypt moving away from the USSR to the US orbit and has been ever sense. Iran was of course not involved as it was a client state of the US. When looking at what was happening in the region at that time you also have to consider the cold War politics - North Korea was involved in supporting Egypt during the Yom Kuppur war. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, it left one global power and with that all of a sudden resistance to the state of Israel seemed to disappear.

Yes for sure. The history of that area is unbelievably complicated. Some of the oldest civilisations in the Western (ish) world involved.

Most of the Arab countries arent very sympathetic to the Palestinians.
