Magheracloone v Latton was a good game at the weekend. For the first 15 minutes Latton completely bossed everything and were deservedly up by 1-7 to 0-1, but from that point on Magheracloone completely turned it around. They got a foothold in midfield and got serious joy running through the Latton defense with some serious pace. By half time Magheracloone we're 3-5 to 1-8 up. Latton were lucky not to have 2 or 3 red cards in the first half as well, getting away with some massive hits.

The 2nd half was more even, and Latton slowly overturned the deficit throughout the half to go a point up. Magheracloone had more goal chances but the Latton keeper made some good saves. It got cagey towards the end but Magheracloone definitely had the better finish getting the last few scores to re-take the lead and it finished 3-10 to 1-15.

Magheracloone deserved it overall as they created more chances throughout the game and I'd give them a good chance chance against Scotstown as long as they sort out the very slow start.

It's a 3rd team in name only.. I would say that 7/8 of these lads have seen senior league action this year…this 3rd team played their feeder club currin recently on the same night the senior team were playing and they kicked a miserly 4pts against currin so that in itself spoke volumes about this 3rd team and the grading etc…the likes of Mohan in goals is hardly a 3rd team player…

I seen on twitter last week that that your 2nd team let an almighty lead through their hands with about 5 minutes to go in a semi final. what's the excuse for this one

If he's playing for the 3rd team, I'd say that makes him a 3rd team player???

This is an interesting one. Surely for the championship they will have to name a squad? Could greatly impact their chances in Junior and I will have to revise my prediction.

By the same token, if one of them plays 5 minutes at the end of a senior game, does that makes them a senior player then??

I thought they done well to beat the United parishes by a point to be honest. Pretty sure emyvale were missing a number of starters also.

Playing senior football would make you a senior footballer?? Same logic as someone on the county team coming on and playing 5/10 minutes at the end of a game. They are still a Monaghan county footballer?

Nearly as embarrassing as having a team consisting of 4 parishes all playing for the one club, and still needed the help from the transfer market to keep up on top of the senior championship. Along with some additions from Sean's, roslea the list goes on.

Your boys took a beating last night in the reserves to Latton last night. What number team is that? How many county men had you playing?

Are all the forums the same as this? I don't really bother that much with the other county ones. The same 3/4 guys have turned this one to pure muck all the time thinking they are hilarious and great craic.

Scotstown. Tydavnet (the biggest parish in the county), Knocktallon and Ballinode. There's a reason it used to be three separate clubs. Ciao!

If the young lads from Castleblayney that have accounts on here spent as much time practicing their football skills as they do on here, they might actually be able to get out of Intermediate.
