That comment shows how much you know about football

Don't mind him, Litir Mor wouldn't have had a hope against Ballinamore. Excellent team, only for the brilliance of Mike Daly they'd be playing Pearses this Sunday.

A wan pint win for Pearse's, with the last kick of the game. Very tough on M/M but this was always going to be very tight.
It sounds like there was bit of controversy at the end, with M/M denied a free and a mark, before Pearse's kicked the winner. I'll have to watch it back.
I can't see there being much between Pearse's and Knockmore either. A very open year.

While I absolutely agree with verbally challenging a ref when his decisions cost you a game I don't care how frustrated you are, laying your hands on him is a line that should not be crossed. Its not on and no one should support it. I don't care if its "just a push" cop yourself on and control your anger

Disgraceful scenes at the end of the game. M/M players who attacked the ref should be ashamed of themselves. GAA need to take action

Agree shouldn't happen no matter what. That said the player involved has just been part of one of the biggest games in recent history for his club and the game was decided by a terrible ref performance. Delighted to see Pearses win but Mountbellew were robbed. Ref decided game in the end

Best team won that Connacht semi final today in Hyde Park however Pearses could easily have lost it and helped along with some odd ref decisions late on. Mountbellew Moylough for whatever never brought their Galway form into this Connacht campaign and lost all discipline. The best they played in the game was the first 10 minutes 2nd half against the 14 men of Pearses who had a defender sent off for what he said to the linesman?

Unlike at Intercouny level the senior club championship is very competitive now with Sligo and Leitrim reps showing well. With Corofin in transition it should stay like that for the next few years.

The ref should also apologise if he was in the wrong.

Typical dogged, tough and physical winter football and then the awful Ref completed the mix. M/M probably better team but the conditions didn't suit them today. Shocking decision not to give M/M a mark and after the effort put in one can understand their frustration at the end. Players deserve better than this type of refereeing.

Like anything there is 2 ways of looking at it. Unfortunately there is no room for physical interaction with a ref and the GAA will have to issue heavy suspension(s), which I support. But the frustrating thing is that the refs poor performance cost mtbellew the game AND likely loss of players for some of 2022 due to suspension. I think there is a fundamental flaw in selecting a ref from a county involved in the final I.e. I think it's to knockmores benefit that Pearses won. Should have been a Sligo or Leitrim ref.

Pearses the better team on the day and came out with the result saying that they were lucky as i think Mountbellew should have had a mark near the end. Any person who condones the disgraceful scenes at the end or justifies it by saying the ref was poor are not GAA men. All those involved let their club down and Galway down today and it's a good thing they go no further. Hope lengthy bans are dished out left right and centre. Supporters from m m aren't much better either

M/M should have had a mark and the Ref was poor. Saying this is not condoning Ref abuse. It is just stating the facts.

It's on the sports news on RTÉ. Just watched it there. The gaa will have to act. We all get frustrated with refs on days decisions go against our team but this was ugly stuff at the end and it deserves serious censure.

To be honest on rte it looked harmless given the refs errors. No IFS about it.

I'd like to know where you think the ref decided the game? All 4 black cards were warranted, the red(for 2 yellows) was nailed on and he could have went earlier for a cheap shoulder in Niall Dalys back. Can't say about the not awarding of the mark but ref said player was inside 45 when he passed it. Maybe MM should look at themselves, 15 scored a goal and then flings the goalkeeper on the ground for no reason and spent 10 mins in the bin

Black card for PP Corner back was for a body collide off the ball

No ifs about it. And I might be coming across as spur over the result I can honestly assure you I wanted pearses to win but no gaa person could watch that today and not be embarrassed by the result due to a referee blunder. That's been generous besides that call that decided the game he had a bad day at the office putting it nicely.
That said I doubt he set out to do it and it's was just he wasn't up to standard. The scenes at the end are never justified
