Dublin SFC Final

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "That was his first choice. Was on the Dublin schools team that won All Ireland, won Leinster minor, under 21 and was on beaten team against Galway in 2008 AI 21s final.

A really good hurler and a much bigger loss than Kilkenny or Costello or Callaghan for not coming through to senior. Often wonder had his clubman not taken over the footballers in 2020 might he have gone with the small ball. Vinnies of course were very good at time too."
Having hurled against Connolly, Costello and O'Callaghan I can say that Con is different gravy to the rest.

Connolly was excellent and could have been brilliant but Con is exceptional.

The death has occurred of Norman Francis Allen.
Great footballer and hurler.
Great in New York with Cork, both codes, and with New York.

He was, but do you not think he was not as effective this year with Cuala?

Granted, he was without much support and possibly badly isolated up front, but I thought Crokes in particular handled him effectively.

Dublin and Vinnies were his first and last loyalty.
