LMFM radio this morning saying highly probable Navan will be confirmed for the Westmeath game, both teams expressed Navan as their choice of venue, confirmation expected in the coming days.

I heard it depends on result of Longford v Offaly

Great start to the year and excellent league campaign. We need to make sure we keep improving in leinster and the championship. Westm3@th is a tough start. They had a great campaign in the tailteann Cup last year. And they were actually unlucky in the league. And obviously they won't fear louth, as they have had the upper hand in recent years. We need great focus on them to ensure we don't get too cocky and take the eye of the prize. And hopefully the game is in Navan. Anyway, up the Lú, and hopefully we have a great summer campaign.

Just finished Mickey Harte's book, "Devotion". A great insight into his thinking about football and life. One comment about him struck me as very true; "Always, he brings this sense of possibility".
He has certainly made Louth people believe in possibilities in the last two and a half years and we are hoping for even better in the years to come. (PedOGog)

It does indeed. The winners are playing Meath at home so if Longford win they will play the Royals at home and the Louth/Westmeath match will be in Tullamore. If Offaly win they will play Meath in Tullamore and the Louth/Westmeath match will be in Navan. The match should be in Navan anyway.

Offaly and Meath will be in Tullamore and Louth and Westmeath will be in Navan.

Well the game is in Navan which is handy for us. Expect a very competitive game with Westmeath. And a big crowd, get your tickets early, our team needs our support and here is hoping for a good day.

Huge test next weekend, championship football will be a different story and this Westmeath team is full of dangerous players hopefully the lads keep their cool and stick at the game plan, a Leinster run now could be just the momentum needed to convince the doubters. AnLuAbú

Any word on the likely team for Sunday, nearly picks itself at this stage. Will Same make an appearance, like to see him back. We are getting a lot of scores from different confident players stepping up. Good to see, should be a ding dong battle with Westmeath as always and Heslin is back. Navan will be buzzing Sunday, Up the Wee County, this team can do it!...

The game is not won in the first half but could be lost, 8 points down and an extra 5 minutes in the Louth changing room with the ref going in was great crack altogether. Got the big Louth crowd going and the team responded. Would like to have been a fly on the wall for that half time teamtalk, by Garte and Devlin. The lads fought back, pushed up on Westmeath, started to pay off with fresh legs of Jackson and Lennon, scores started coming. Penalty nicely taken by Sam and we were back in it. Westmeath were starting to panic and we were totally on top, fab goal by Jackson to draw level. But the lads had the legs to keep going and win the game while Westmeath faltered. Even in added time they didn't panic with keep ball tactics. Some game to be at, great excitement and another standing ovation for the team with try belief in themselves. On to Croker, Offaly awaits. UP the Wee boys!.

I'm still stunned that we managed to win that. I don't think any other Louth team would ever have recovered from that position at HT. There is such a massive level of belief in the team. One great aspect of yesterday is that any potential of taking Offaly lightly will be well gone. There will be a massive Louth support on Sunday and a win would mean our 2nd Leinster final appearance since 1960, that would be incredible.

"Where were you when we came back from 8 down in Navan ?" That was what we jokingly said at half time only half believing but by god this team never give up, brilliant atmosphere built up when Mickey locked the door at half time, they just chased like a pack of wolves in the second half, you can catch me on the hill again this weekend it will be another tight game but we have the more recent Croker experience it could stand to us.
COME ON THE WEE COUNTY!!!!

I was exhausted after the game, it was nearly the death of me. What a comeback, and just what we needed to prepare for the semi-final. I genuinely wanted Meath to win so we could beat them next Sunday but they let me down on that one. Expecting a huge crowd from Louth next Sunday.
